I don’t mind the muzzle blast, but decreasing muzzle flip lets me take the second shot more quickly.
My current carry is a 10mm Glock, the low muzzle height lets me get the second round on target more quickly than I can achieve with 45 auto in a 1911.
The Rhino lowers the muzzle even further.
Notice how much the back of the gun jumps up and down in the video? It isn’t firmly against his shoulder. This isn’t bad form, it is a legal requirement. If you use the ‘arm brace’ as a stock then you could be in trouble.
A 6” barrel does the trick. I have a Model 19-6 and a 686-4. The Model 19 is lighter but the barrel keeps it down better than the heaver 686. You Model 19 has a sharper recoil but not as much flip. The 19 may even rise a little more but it’s not a flip.
Semi auto’s have that heavy slide inertia which gives a whole different type of recoil and a big flip.
I would still love to have a Rhino in 357. I still have dies, brass, powder and even a some lead in 357 but I haven’t had a weapon in caliber for years.
I had a 686 and muzzle rise was definitely present, I’ve seen video of the Rhino in action and it really looked like it would be easier to keep on target.
Not the budget though.
No thanks. Will stick with my CZs
I have a CZ. I’ve seen some comprehensive reviews of these. They are built like tanks. They bumpfire about the easiest I’ve seen. With a little bit of training you could have a little baddass truck gun sub gun. Seems like a steel for the money, and why they are sold out everywhere.
