President’s Spiritual Mentor Says ‘God Has Given Trump Authority To Take Out Kim Jong Un’
The Daily Caller ^ | August 8, 2017 | Ryan Pickrell

A well-known evangelical pastor and spiritual mentor for President Donald Trump asserted Tuesday that God won’t mind if the president wipes North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un off the face of the earth.

Southern Baptist pastor Robert Jeffress, who has close ties to the president, believes Trump has the moral authority to destroy Kim Jong-un.

“When it comes to how we should deal with evil doers, the Bible, in the book of Romans, is very clear: God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary — including war — to stop evil,” Jeffress explained in a statement to CBN News. Jeffress personally tweeted out the story from CBN News.

“In the case of North Korea, God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong-un,” he added, stating, “I’m heartened to see that our president — contrary to what we’ve seen with past administrations who have taken, at best, a sheepish stance toward dictators and oppressors — will not tolerate any threat against the American people. When President Trump draws a red line, he will not erase it, move it, or back away from it. Thank God for a President who is serious about protecting our country.”

North Korea has developed missiles of varying ranges and nuclear warheads to fit them, ensuring that the regime has the ability to deliver devastation to its neighbors and the U.S. across the Pacific Ocean. Trump warned Tuesday, in the wake of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley’s declaration that “enough is enough,” that North Korea’s threats will not be tolerated.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump explained to the White House press pool Tuesday. “They will be met with the fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said, they will be met with the fire and fury and, frankly, power the likes of which this world has never seen before.”

The U.N., in response to U.S. pressure, has imposed new sanctions on North Korea. The U.S. is in talks with South Korea to improve their conventional missile forces, and the U.S. sent B-1B Lancers ripping past the Korean Peninsula Monday to remind Kim Jong Un that the U.S. is ready to “fight tonight,” according to the U.S. Pacific Air Forces.

In response to perceived U.S. provocations, North Korea said it is seriously considering launching a nuclear strike against U.S. strategic military assets in Guam.

Tensions are running especially high, but administration officials and observers appear determined to prevent the situation from escalating into a major military conflict, which would be, in the words of Secretary of Defense James Mattis, “tragic on an unbelievable scale.”

Even with the cutbacks from the SALT talks and the like, we have an incredibly powerful arsenal of weapons to use on North Korea.

I can rest easy tonight knowing that God has given us permission.

Not.

Who the hell are these people speaking for God? None of this has to do with God.

Pastor Jeffress has not violated any “confessional confidentiality.” He is merely stating his interpretation of scripture, and his thankfulness that we have a president that will protect America. And frankly, so am I.

So many of these "evangelical leaders" also said that George W. Bush had God's blessing to go into Iraq and topple Saddam. That the mantle of God was upon Dubya.

Look how well THAT turned out.

I remember clearly a radio interview with one of the Kennedys, saying that he always acted crazy when threatened, because “nobody f*cks with insanity”.

Jello Biafra was his name.

>>None of this has to do with God.<<

Quite foolish to say that. Read a little bit of Scripture.

I don’t think Donald asked for a lid on this one.

Ugh, I don’t mind killing all the North Koreans, but I’m not sure we should do it if it can be avoided. There will be lots of death South Koreans too, and possibly China will get involved.

The dirty little secret about China and North Korea is that the latter is a mere puppet state of the former.

Indeed QUITE silly. Are we going to be more arrogant about this than even Ben Franklin, who is reported to have urged the nascent American government to begin praying?

God can take out “Kim part XX” if he wants to...he doesn’t need Mr. Trump’s help.

China may be approaching the point where it will see the sense in turning loose of the runt. Norkieland’s sell-by date is fast approaching.

Kim Jong Un runs the largest concentration camp in the modern world; he is an objectively evil person. Scriptural interpretations aside, there's no reason to respect the twerp.
Trump shouldn't let him off the hook; before we agree to not evaporate him, he should be required to come before the General Assembly of the United Nations and perform his famous dance Gangnam Style.
