Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has released two politically charged songs targeting what he sees as the uncertainty and surrealism permeating politics in the age of Brexit and Donald Trump.
One song, titled "England Lost", represents Jagger's mocking take on Britain's split from the European Union. The second, "Get a Grip", describes an "upside down" world full of "lunatics and clowns".
Jagger, 74, said on Facebook he had started writing the songs a few weeks ago in his first solo work since 2011.

I dont get it? The title “England Lost” when Brexit returns England to England rule?
Am I stupid and dim?
Politics aside...if you never heard of Jagger and you heard these songs...you would say they suck.
Nice summer catchy tune.

The videos are meaningless too.
Now back to your room Mr. Jagger and I’ll bring you some nice pudding and read you a story.
Jagger hasn’t co-written a song with anything in 47 years. As a solo song write he sucks.
There is no fool like and old fool. England is lost but not because of brexit. It is because of policies endorsed by fools like him.

At this point in time , who the heck would buy a new song by Mick Jagger ? Even a rabid Stones fan ( getting fewer with every passing day )probably isn’t interested . Why does he bother ? I wouldn’t if I were him .
“Jagger hasnt co-written a song with anything in 47 years.”
Start Me Up from 1981 was a fab tune I thought . Even bought the 45 . Before that the last record I purchased was the album Sticky Fingers .
Totally lame.
Will he be releasing any new songs honoring those whose lives were taken by violent Islamists? Or will he just whine like a child?
Apparently Jagger thinks that Britain leaving the EU was done out of mindless paranoia. Like all liberals he omits uncomfortable facts that round out the picture because these would make his shallowness too obvious. And he also avoids exploring the cold hard reality that if Britain surrenders her sovereignity then by definition Britain is lost.
I should say England rather than Britain, oops.
No islamic elephant in his room.
No, but Mick sure is.
