Very interesting, thanks. Clearly the mannufacturer did not do sufficient FMEA, or just chose to ignore these vulnerabilities. Even the kind of home alarm system you buy at the big box stores provides a higher level of security than this.

The idea is that the pistol can only be fired by someone wearing a wristwatch-style RFID device. But now, a hacker has found several major flaws with the technology. Having to wear an RFID device on the wrist sounds like Major Flaw #1.
