And he will still face the problem of being illegitimate.

If Cruz wants to be President he can go to Canada and run there for it

Cruz wants to be president, and that’s not the path.

I like it!

I think Cruz, unless barred by Trump, would go after Hillary tooth and tong with a smile on his face behind closed doors.

Not sure he would step into that storm though.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions “made the right decision under the rules of the Justice Department”...

Rudy is right. Sessions is obeying the "rules" or the swamp.

Nevermind that the DOJ actually is supposed to answer to the Chief Executive.

I’ll give Giuliani that AS LONG AS Mueller also recuses himself. If not, all bets are off.

There’s got to be a patriot in this list somewhere.

You’ll be scratching them all, cause they all will tell you the same thing.

I guess you don’t trust Trump either.

He trusts Ted. In fact - there has been no better ally for Trump after Inauguration Day than Cruz.

Why can’t Rudy replace Rosenstein, then fire Mueller? Does his ego require he be top dog?

It’s kind of hard for me to believe I can actually tout Cruz for any position in President Trump’s Administration, to be honest.
Had Rudy in mind briefly but now hear that he agrees with Sessions’ recusal; that disqualifies him in my book.
Perhaps Sekulow would be a good choice.
All I know is that I cannot forgive Sessions for stepping aside and allowing Mueller to be conducting his open-ended Witch Hunt.
Such a shame that the DOJ as turned into such a disaster.
Will we ever see Crooked Hillary and all the rest of the Obummer cohorts get their comeuppance???

He wasn’t thinking of the can of whoop a** he would open on Trump by recusing himself. He was only thinking of himself. I’m very disappointed in Sessions for doing this as well. Having said that, the AG doesn’t announce or deny any cases he is working on. I still think Sessions should have been named head of ICE.

"Been contemplating Ted Cruz for AG today, Any thoughts from my fellow FR family about this idea???"

Who wants to be AG after what Trump is doing to Session....one of his most loyal supporters?

Huh?

President Trump needs a loyal AG who will support him through thick and thin.
I mean there was absolutely no space between Obummer and Holder and later with Lynch. They were always on the same page.

Plus, it was Sessions who should have been honest up front with President Trump before he was nominated, affording President Trump the opportunity to make an informed decision.
I must admit, however, that I am rather shocked and appalled that Sessions literally permitted the opening of Pandora’s Box (leading to the special counsel, etc.).

Just caught this article on the Drudge Report from the Washington Post (incidentally that was listed just underneath one about Sessions being in the Dog House)

Cruz’s name is listed along with Rudy as possible replacements. At least, I know others were entertaining the same idea I had. See link below.

Giuliani: Sessions 'made the right decision' to recuse himself

Even if that's true, AG Sessions had no business blindsiding President Trump—in the early days of his fledgling Presidency—without first consulting with him. That was just idiotic...
