Attorney General Jeff Sessions “made the right decision under the rules of the Justice Department” to recuse himself from federal probes involving Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Monday.

Giuliani, a former prosecutor and current cybersecurity adviser to President Donald Trump, also swatted down reports that he could replace the attorney general, who Trump called "beleaguered” on Monday.

Well that's that.

Scratch Giuliani off the possible A/G list.

The original story is from CNN. Let’s hear from Rudy himself.

So far CNN and Politico have chimed in on this.

So that means they DONT WANT him as AG, and must fear him.

(CNN) — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Monday swatted away a report that he is a contender to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and said Sessions made the right decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

Giuliani said there is no truth to a report by Axios that said Trump has recently raised the possibility of tapping Giuliani to replace Sessions, whom the President referred to as “beleaguered” on Monday, days after publicly rebuking Sessions for recusing himself from the federal investigation into Russian election meddling in the 2016 campaign.

I don’t want him for A/G either. Too old.

But I DO WANT him for a Special Investigator on out side. To start the indictments and charges rolling against Bill, Hillary et al.

He needs to keep Sessions he just needs a young Turk at his side. Someone needs to go through the DOJ and find a real killer and move them into the office next to Sessions to be his right hand.

I still think donut lover from NJ would have made a better AG than Sessions or Giuliani.

Sessions needs to appoint a by-the-law special counsel to investigate Hellary and the Dems for their known crimes. He can then step back from it.

An investigation into Hillary and minions will only produce what we already know....

Why waste your time with a case that will bring no result. She'll never go to jail. She'll never even be chastised except for Trump's tweets...which are indeed a good thing.

But a case that goes no where is worthless AT THIS POINT IN TIME. Maybe next year.

I don't agree. Indict and bring the case. There needs to be a cost for the DC law breakers running wild.

The one that just vetoed a bill making the legal age to marry eighteen out of respect for religious and cultural differences?

Memories of Cruz bringing the Bush Team on board his campaign, memories of seeing photographs of Cruz coming off Obama’s AF1 during the primaries.....

We need a 100% Trump supporter. NO pretenders.

He’ll never get the Senate votes. Ted is not a GOP-e player. And as a result - they will deny him.
