“It will be the first time a sitting president has attended the US Women’s Open and is only the third occurrence in our entire championship history.”

Huh?

Yeah, this article was written by a moron. I read the sentence you referenced and its surrounding context three times before giving up. The author also used a cringe-worthy “whom” instead of “who” at one point.

I’m glad Trump attended the U.S. Open and I hope it made plenty of people uncomfortable! :)

The first time a sitting president has attended the U.S. Women's Open, the third visit to the U.S. Open.

Golf is not supposed to be about politics. The combination is down right rude.

‘Protests were expected’

The default condition, yes?

Perhaps the media should report the facts ie there were NO protests rather than what they hope will happen.

It’s a vast nation of 350 million persons give or take 20 million wetbacks. Every loudmouth with a grievance isn’t worthy of mention in every news item - especially if they never show up.

Trump is a golfer. Perhaps he should have announced he’s trans (this week) and entered the tournament. He could totally disarm the left at a stroke. I think under current rules of engagement he’s allowed to switch his gender back whenever he wants.
