Here’s reality: During the campaign, representatives of both the Trump and the Clinton campaigns no doubt held dozens, if not hundreds of meetings with third parties claiming to have damaging information about the opposition. This is an integral part of what every campaign refers to as “opposition research”, and these campaigns will take any real, true information they can get their hands on, regardless of the source. There is nothing scandalous about anything we’ve learned about Trump Jr.’s meeting with this woman thus far, and damn sure nothing illegal about any of it. Anyone who says otherwise is just a partisan hack, which of course, accurately describes everyone who works for the NYTimes.
In addition to that reality, given the many episodes in which stories published by the NYTimes about this presidency based on anonymous sources have been clearly demonstrated to be utterly false, there is a greater than 50/50 chance that this latest bit of journalistic malfeasance will ultimately have to be corrected or withdrawn.
But for the time being, this will be the story on which the entire fake news media obsesses as the Trump Administration continues to systematically erase the Obama policy legacy from the federal books. Seems like a fair trade to me.

Donald Trump Jr. is going to be a force to be reckoned with, and the elites in politics and media know that.
They’ll be trying to nip this one in the bud but it won’t work.
Don Jr. is far, far to smart for that.
I know public figures aren't allowed to file slander or libel suits, but you'd think that the army of lawyers that the Trumps had to have had for some time, could find a way to stop these Fake News attacks.

The Times’ newest breathless revelation that an email was sent to Donald Jr. saying that the Russian government had some dirt on Hillary that they were willing to dish makes it about 95% sure that this was a DNC set up. Can you imagine the Russian government ever putting that in an email? That sounds like something Podesta would do, he of “password” fame, since they were bugging Trump’s campaign from its inception.
The DNC ought to be the entity being investigated for collusion with anybody who could bring Donald Trump down.
The difference is that this, IF TRUE, is a meeting with a FOREIGN source.
But so far, all we have is the word of proven liars CNN and the New York Times.
This FOREIGN source says she NEVER had any information about HRC and doesn’t work for the Kremlin.
Another DRY hole.
