George Orwell introduced the language of doublespeak in his dystopian novel “1984” published in 1949. Doublespeak is the language of opposites. Up is down and down is up.

The word doublespeak derives from two Orwellian words “doublethink” and “newspeak.” Doublethink is when a person accepts two mutually contradictory thoughts as correct without being aware or troubled by the glaring contradiction between them. Doublethink statements like “war is peace” “freedom is slavery” “ignorance is strength” are made without discomfort. Newspeak is a method of controlling thought through language - it is the language of fake news. Doublespeak combines doublethink and newspeak in language that deliberately obscures, distorts, disguises, or reverses the meaning of words to manipulate public opinion in a mass social engineering effort.

I've already that snopes.com's "False" rating on certain negative liberal rumors almost always comes down to their inserting a word or circumstance in the rumor that wasn't originally there.

For example: Rumor: Bill Clinton admitted to engaging in oral sex with an intern in the Oval Office while president.

Snopes determination: FALSE

Explanation: While there have been numerous allegations and substantial evidence to support that Bill Clinton engaged in oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, the story is false in two areas: 1) Bill Clinton repeatedly denied the allegation, and never admitted he did anything. 2) All evidence indicates that the alleged activity took place in a bathroom off the Oval Office and not in the Oval Office itself.

I’ve learned to not use Snopes as a reference unless I want to prove my point to a leftist since it is a leftist, um, something, not a fact checking organization because it doesn’t do that, but it is funded partially by G. Soros so we know right off the bat it’s hinkey.

In reference to doublethink, doublespeak, and newspeak; I like to use a phrase I heard long ago.

The best example of Leftist doublethink is the fact that they champion feminists and homosexuals as (alleged and imagined) victims of conservative Christians while simultaneously championing Muslims who routinely treat women like cattle and who torture and brutally murder homosexuals.

People have prejudices that they don't recognize as prejudices. They find other terms to express their dislikes.

Then there are the scapegoats -- when somebody comes along who can be attacked for other reasons all the underlying hatred can be directed at that person.
