You have 3 choices. Share everything till you run out. Shoot everyone till you run out of bullets and 3, my choice, hide where no one can find you till it blows over.
We couldn’t decide so we got one of everything. And two machetes. :-)
Kentucky Muzzleloader and Blunderbuss.
I agree that a scoped .22 rifle and pistol with lots of ammo will be the best GP rifle for 90% of outdoor shooting. Most of the rest of the other 10% would be a 12 gauge shotgun with many different loads.
Beyond that, a night vision scoped deer rifle, and a larger caliber pistol.
Many years ago, when I was 8 or 9, I was at the bank with my dad and saw a guy walk in with a shotgun. He handed it to the bank guard and explained he needed some cash to get the shot gun repaired. He then went to the teller, got his cash and picked up the shotgun on his way out.
We live in a different world.
The 44 mag is also good in both
Sawed off why?
Excellent point. All those preppers may be caught off guard because when the SHTF happens, they may not even be at home, they may be “trapped” in a city or on a road or who knows what. Need to be mobile, light and ready for several scenarios.
And to think, in the early 1970s you could not give away an AR-15 (except to me). They were written up as “plastic,” inaccurate, too small for deer. A mouse gun.
Then Mel Tappan wrote his book SURVIVAL GUNS and soon he had a survival page in GUNS AND AMMO magazine.
Suddenly EVERYONE wanted a .223!
So, what is your first pick of the choices? Having a,supply cache in some hidden liveable location is difficult. It could last 6 months or longer. I live on a farm now.
..And two machetes.
......................
Are they assault machetes or garden variety machetes ? snicker
Aaaaaargh! you should have a proper cutlass with that Blunderbuss, Matey!
I go in with Open Carry when I’m making a business deposit....
good idea, but I think a crossbow would be nice
As a bonus, it works great for zombies on The Walking Dead.....
I don’t know about you, but I am getting as far away from people humanly possible.
I prefer weapons that don’t require other people to make them work in the long term and that can’t be transferred over generations.
That’s why I launched 3 orbiting satellites with neutron bombs......
They are there waiting for when I need them......
You can never be too sure not to nuke from Outer Space.....
Food, water and medicine are your friend more than distance or weapons.....More will die of starvation, dehydration or related illness then armed conflict......
Most Americans will pull together.....the animals will either kill each other or be met by armed citizens....
One of each. :-)
