Auto workers pay and benefits package easily exceed 100,000 a year. No reason to think the steel industry would pay less.

Also, probably union-negotiated.

Not necessarily union. Nucor has the highest paid steelworkers in the US and they are non union. Much of the package though is tonnage bonus.
