The Evergreen State College: No safety, no learning, no future
The Seattle Times ^ | 6/5/2017 | Seattle Times editorial board

... Evergreen faces a deeper, and more long-term threat. It is the only state four-year higher education institution to see enrollment drop steeply since 2011 despite wide-open admission standards. At about 4,080 students, it is about 300 students short of the Legislature’s funded enrollment target.

Did not see this posted when it first came out. A hat tip to the folks at Legal Insurrection http://legalinsurrection.com/2017/06/low-enrollment-at-evergreen-state-college-threatens-schools-future/ for pointing out that the Invisible Hand is dealing with these monsters, even in Washington State.

For those with short-term memory problems, Evergreen State University is the Nazi hell hole where a liberal professor has been all but tarred and feathered for refusing to participate in a supposedly "voluntary" day without white people.

The "students" there are people who wouldn't ordinarily qualify even by the low standards of a state teachers' college; yet even with open enrollment, the school can't manage to attract enough dumbasses to survive.

Puts one in mind of Mizzou, where similar hooliganism and identical lack of testicular fortitude on the part of limp-wristed administrators have led to two steep years of declines in a row: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/education/freshman-enrollment-at-mizzou-to-take-a-steep-drop-in/article_b7417bf6-268e-58c4-b358-ac369c4481fc.html

Poetic justice.

Admissions are down because (perish the thought) some people actually want an education. Except for the 1% that want stir up trouble and burn things up.

Tastes on stun.

If you simply kept your head done and went to class. Can you actually learn anything useful at this place?

You would learn roughly the same lesson you would get from a “campfire night” with guys in white robes and pointy masks. The colors would change but the differences would be only skin deep.

Evergreen is a left wing loon school.Rachel Corrie graduated from Evergreen. After being crushed by the bulldozer in Israel Evergreen has proposed naming a building in her memory. Suggestion is it be called IHOP Hall.

So it was founded as an “experimental” college and this educational experiment has FAILED.

Leftards at Evergreen have proved that they are unfit to operate an institution of “higher education.” Time to shut it down and apply the money to worthwhile endeavors.

A temporary moment of sanity at the Seattle Times. Then back to their traditional Marxist hatred. So fleeting, so pitiful.

The degrees from this “university” will be worthless. Absolutely, totally worthless.

Being that it is the MOST liberal school in the entire state (and, as already mentioned, the alma mater of St. Pancake), it needs to be closed then burned to the ground.

Then back to their traditional Marxist hatred.

"I suspect he was about to become an embarrassment."

What isn't tolerated by the Left -- has never been tolerated by the Left -- is failure. Evergreen is just a little too visible, just a little too soon. In 20 years, 30 years, racially segregating whites will be regarded as wholesome and natural, just as the most vile and disgusting sexual attitudes are now considered more or less ordinary -- and weren't just a short time ago.

The Seattle Times is dissembling, pretending to be mildly realist because the timing is bad. Nothing more.

The degrees from this “university” will be worthless.

Which will not stop them from finding excellent, well paying situations in the public schools and state government.

Olympia, Washington is 2.1% black and 51% female.

Evergreen State College is 29.2% black, and 57% female.

Evergreen State College is located in Olympia WA.

Judging from the students I’ve seen giving interviews, I’m going to guess the percentages of LGBTQ vs. local population are similarly skewed.
