In order to have “justice” somebody has to pay.
Wonder who they want to punish this time? It’s somebody’s fault right?

That *at risk* poverty is the motivating force to drive people to work.
If everyone were given a basic income that met their needs, they would continue on as fat dumb and happy.

Why yes, a famous philosopher once said this sort of thing about “self-realization”. Too bad it was Karl Marx.

Doesn’t Steve Bannon advocate a universal basic income?

And, where does this communist “basic income” come from? Stolen money from someone else, with the government in the role of thief.

Go ahead.
Create a right to a basic income.
My tiny condo in FL is paid for.
I’d be out of the work force so fast, it ain’t funny.

I see everyone hates the basic income idea, and it is smart to be skeptical. It may be worse than no government assistance, but there is a case it is better than the ad hoc, targeted programs we have now. Less bureaucracy, less rent seeking, less government control. You get rid of welfare, social security, obamacare, food stamps, corruption, and fraud(somewhat). Every government transfer payment goes away, and is replaced with a single payment.
Milton Friedman advocated something similar, with the negative income tax, and makes a good case.

What if the people who were most at risk people from low-income and marginalized communities who are living day to day with real challenges were able to become social entrepreneurs? I do not want to do productive work to have the money I earned based on the wealth I created stolen by thugs. I do not want to work hard to support people who are parasites and who oppose my values. It's time for wealth redistribution to come to an end completely and for the welfare class to get real jobs or live on voluntary charity.

Those of us who leave within our means will bank it and retire sooner.
Those of us who do not live within our means will fall deeper in debt and begin lobbying politicians for an increase in the “basic income” during election years.
Rinse and repeat.

Basic Income is a scheme to chain people more closely to their government and to strip the middle class of the wealth required to pay for it and through taxation reducing the middle class to poverty and replacing their incomes with this Basic Income. As it will severely reduce the tax base it must be supplied with balloon money and won’t even be usable as toilet paper because it will be implemented as cashless digital transfers.

Complete and utter crap. Just what society needs, generations of parasitic dependent drones living off the productive members of society. No one in their right mind can believe this garbage for a second.
