Citibank Analcyst speculates that Apple might buy Tesla with some of Apple's spare change. Tesla survives on Federal electric car/alternative fuel tax credits for both sales and energy usage to charge their users' cars. If they disappear in a tax reform bill, Tesla's retail sales will take a tail spinning drop. What do you think? Is acquiring Tesla in Apple's best interest? PING!

Apple will buy a floppy disk drive manufacturer before it invests in Tesla. And the odds of Apple spending any money on a floppy disc drive business are as close to zero as you can get.

“IF” any company could make Tesla viable without the fed subsidies/tax credits, it would be Apple... BUT...
Would it be a wise purchase for Apple? Not so sure about that.
