Im sorry, she whispered.
On the saddest day of her life, Ngoc Tran, 29, didnt wake her children, preferring to kiss them lightly and leave them oblivious. She didnt want them to see her go. She instructed their father to tell them she wont be coming home because she is at work.
She wonders what they will think, years from now, of the mother who went away. Will they define her by her crimes? Or will they remember a sweet and pretty mom, trying to give her children a better life than she had?
I dont know how the kids are going to grow up without a mom, Tran said. Why do my kids have to suffer for my mistakes?

The OC Register used to be one of the leading libertarian-conservative newspapers in the nation.
It has just become the LA Slimes South.
I’m telling you, BARF indeed. There are more sad stories out this week than I’ve ever seen. Obviously they cannot run the sad CRIMINAL deportee stories. I wonder if some Obama loving ICE guys are picking up moms and so forth to deport, trying to make Trump look bad.
Take your kids with you.
a tragedy that the mother refuses to take her children home with her
I would take my daughter with me no matter where I go.
The comments on the article are not sympathetic, except to the kids, and I think we’d be sympathetic to the kids whether mom was an immigrant or native born. She repeatedly did wicked things and THAT is why her children will suffer. Honestly they may grow up better without her bad influence but I don’t know.
Take your kids with you. Why abandon them?
So this criminal alien is abandoning/abusing her kid? What a freak and loser. Deport her NOW!!!
The MSM is now setting the talking points for the DemocRAT party and liberals in general. They do not want to report anything good that is happening to, and in, our country. They have nothing and the RATS have nothing. They are nothing.
She’ll be back. Even if she has to get in line to do it the right way this time. Because even she knows that leaving dad and the kids here is better all around than taking them all back with her to where she’s from.
bank robber hwo committed murder “Just let me go so i can just take care of my kids”
Drunk Driver who killed someone “Just let me alone so i can take care of my kids”
Thief who commits grand larceny “All i want is to take care of my kids- let me free”
Big barf alert! The woman has committed multiple felonies several times, and is going to prison, and now she’s worried about her kids? They will be better off without her.
OH BARF!
There are families where she came from - she should take her children with her.
Of course she should take her children with her. OR gee, duh, could she have filed papers and followed the law? Why not? We would have in her country? And/ or risked the consequences.
“Take your kids with you.”
It’s a shame to rip a family apart. I agree, send the kids back to VN, boyfriend also, so they can all be together. Isn’t that the kindness in us? Keep that family together (outside the USA).
Unless there is some change of Vietnamese government policy, this woman is not going to be deported.
Currently, Vietnam is one of the countries that refuse to accept its citizens back from the USA under the terms of a deportation. The VN government will not issue passports to such people. As a result there are Vietnamese-citizen career criminals in the USA with 100-page rap sheets who never get deported. They go in and and jail, but they don’t get kicked out. Orange County, CA has loads of such cases.
Hopefully, the Trump administration will start playing hardball with these crappy little countries (Thailand is another) and get them to take back their trash.
Why do my kids have to suffer for my mistakes?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Same as any other criminal.
I am not sure it would be possible in this case since she is going to prison for 25 months on a drug charge. According to the article, she served a prior 3 1/2 year sentence for armed robbery. She was subject to deportation after the first conviction but not deported. She will again be subject to deportation after this recent 25 month term so maybe she will go this time. Possibly she will take her daughter with her then.
