I have no idea how credible this source/professor/article are, but chemical weapons typically do not use large explosives - as that would destroy most of the compounds they are trying to disperse. Bombs that just go ‘pop’ (usually above the ground, but not always) are the norm.

Well, the “expert” stating Assad is guilty in this Sarin attack has a B.A. degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University and an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington DC.
