Next Saturday will mark the first 100 days of President Trump’s time in office. During his Presidency, the Commander in Chief has made a substantial amount of progress. For starters, he signed an executive order that will protect this country from unknowingly importing foreign terrorists. The President also signed the ‘Buy American, Hire American’ executive order, an order that will ensure the security of American workers and halt abuse of the U.S. H-1B work visa program. Additionally, he took the initiative of prohibiting drug misuse and promoting women in STEM fields.
Protecting this nation from terrorism and people who seek to annihilate the American way of life is more imperative than ever. The alarming illusion that coddling terrorists and smothering them with ‘compassion’ and ‘tolerance’ will somehow halt them from committing murder and other atrocities is absurd. This country is fortunate enough to have President Trump who is willing to take the necessary precautions. There is nothing inherently wrong with immigration, but people have to be properly vetted before they are granted entry. This is non-negotiable.

‘Buy American, Hire American’ is the ideal order for any employee of this nation. It automatically blocks abuse of the H-1B visa program. Employers will no longer be allowed to fire hardworking American and replace them with foreign workers for the sake of paying them at a substantially lower hourly rate. It is the job of any President to place the interests of their country before others and ‘Buy American, Hire American’ does just that. Federal agencies will also be required to inspect trade rules that could potentially hurt the domestic labor market. In order for America to thrive, workers of this nation must contribute to the job market and the economy.
Combatting prescription drug overdose and abuse is an excellent measure that will save countless American lives. On March 29, the President established the Commission Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis to carry out the previously mentioned measures. Chris Christie was also directly assigned to this panel and will work to end dependency on opioid narcotics.
On February 28, President Trump signed two bills: one encourages the National Science Foundation to “recruit and support women to expand their focus into the commercial world in its entrepreneurial programs.” The second bill requires NASA to help women and girls study science, mathematics, technology, and engineering. Throughout the 2016 Presidential campaign, the media harped about what impact Mr. Trump would have on American women. Now he has taken two measures to promote success and higher education among women.
President Trump has made a plethora of notable accomplishments within his first 100 days in office and they deserve recognition and applause. The media continues to make it their mission to downplay his successes and magnify his critics, but the facts speak for themselves. The President is keeping his promises to the American people by halting terrorism, protecting and creating American jobs, ending drug abuse, and promoting women in the workforce. Critics of the Commander in Chief will never have anything positive to say about him, but those who look at the President from a neutral, unbiased standpoint will observe his vast amount of glowing accomplishments.
For that alone he deserves glory everlasting.
Now, I seem to recall he was going to abolish obamacare in the first 100 days. How's that coming along?
