What gets me is the sheer incompetence of the FBI in the show. Time and again .. not telling superiors or anyone for that matter the status of an investigation. Not one report has ever been written. Information can only get to the president if the only agent on the face of the planet that knows it personally delivers it. Not one sniper in the cemetary scene allows the VP to be killed and his wife to commit suicide. A highly wanted perp is laying on the ground, with 2 agents with guns pointed at her, and neither thinks to cuff her before she pulls out a weapon, and they both shoot to kill. I have seen a trend in a lot of these shows to make LE simultaneously super smart ... figuring out things that would be damned near impossible to figure out, then brain farting on the simplest tasks.
I gave up on that show after episode 2 or 3, just no patience for episodic TV anymore. But what you is the same on any type of show like that. It really is annoying.
Now you know why I watch KDramas.
I have a friend, who at one time I thought was conservative, then she kind of morphed into someone more Liberal and, I hate to say it, stupid. She actually wanted to know why we could not have a president like Jed Bartlet. She let fiction become reality in her mind.
I’m not convinced it’s actually that interesting a premise. At least not for an entire series of TV, there’s just not 22 hours worth of story in “Bob flunky becomes president”.

Thank you for summing up my feeling entirely (and much better than I would have).
“flunky becomes President” worked very well for the second Battlestar Galactica. ;-)
As 1 of like 6 major plots, which was basically done by the time the mini-series ended. As a story the person is either up to the task or they’re not, and if they’re not you don’t really have any place for the story to go. And if they are then you’ve got to move the story away from that entirely and become West Wing, or 24.
"Our government is de-capitated, our very existence as a functioning society is in jeopardy, and the new presidents main goal is to punish islamophobia. "
Kiefer's dad is a rabid liberal, who hates America. So this so called show's anti America bias is not surprising.
They went from promising to just whoring of liberal agendas.
I stopped watching with the first hint of gun control propaganda.
More of the same from those whose life’s work is manipulation of the minds of the witless consumers of their whimsical, fanciful “products”...I humbly suggest clueless they are not, but know full well what they’re doing...
Yet so many continue to watch in the vain hope of something different?
Nothing different will likely emerge in the forseable future because it is the nature and purpose of Hollywood to distribute disinformation disguised (not very well) as entertainment...
Nothing new here...
“This thing, what is it in itself, in its own constitution? What is its substance and material? And what is its causal nature [or form]? And what is it doing in the world?...” — Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
After the last two episodes I am now rooting for the terrorists.
Same here, didn’t even make it halfway into the second episode!
For a similar premise, the series Battlestar Galactica from about 10 hears ago was fantastic. Except the terrorists were humanoid robots and there was no political correct crap beyond the strong hero-woman storylines which were part of the show.
I’ve just about bailed on this show. Left wing bias has been in the script since episode one but it’s gotten unbearable.
