Yeah. Stay out of London. Lots of nice day tour bus trips to more interesting place like Bath and Stonehenge.

If your “dear friend” is a liberal, direct them to visit all of the Sharia areas of London.

If they are conservative, direct them to the areas that have the least number of muslims there.

London may be the biggest tourist city in the world. Have them do the On-Off double decker tourist busses as early as possible! Then they can see everything and decide what things they want to come back to.

The Tube, the huge Ferris wheel, and Tower Bridge were my first things to see and do.

Don’t go.

Best possible advice.

If they want to go to Europe, go to Hungary, Slovakia, or Poland where they have more civilized attitudes toward invaders.

In late August/early Sept, the Queen and her peeps bug out from Buckingham to Scotland. At that time, the public is allowed to tour Buckingham Palace and grounds. That was an unexpected surprise for us.

You need to make resers there a few days before you tour.

Churchill’s war bunker was a good one too. They’ve left it like the day the war ended.

Recommend: The London Eye, The British Museum, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, . Lots to do, always too little time.

London is one of my favorite cities. Good places — the Portobello Road Market — not sure what days it’s held. It’s a great flea market.
Also, Imperial War Museum, Cabinet War Rooms, the British Museum, the Tate and the Sir John Soanes museum (this place is a TRIP — guys private collection, the man was a madman! Absolutely AMAZING collection.) I’m less impressed with the V&A or the Museum of London, but the Museum of Industrial Design is great.

I haven’t been to London since 2001, so I can’t recommend any pubs or restaurants. Wagamama, if they’re still there, is a fun chain.

Hope your friend has a wonderful time. I love the city dearly.

LOL. She make *me* look like a liberal in comparison. Very smart, pretty, and educated. (Yeah, I do have a bit of a crush on her, but not going. Just trying to help her have a few good rare days off.)

ST. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster. Get away from London by going to Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge. The history is awesome.

In no particular order.. And certainly not all inclusive.

1. Westminster Abbey
2. Churchill underground HQs and museum
3. British Museum
4. Imperial War Museum
5. Parliament
6. Tower of London
7. Buckingham Palace
Those are the major ones. Take in a play in the Soho district and enjoy the pubs. Use the tube as the quickest way to get around. Splurge and take a London cabbie ride to the play.

Visit the British Museum. See the Rosetta Stone before the Muslims destroy it. See the Elgin Marbles before the Muslims destroy them

The Churchill/WWII Museum is a must see.

Having tea/lunch at Fortnum & Mason is a treat.

Touring the Charles Dickens museum.

Riding the Eye, touring the Shard.

And then all of the usual....tours of Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral (going up to the top, if able)...have some fish and chips, go to a pub.

A day trip to see the Cotswolds cottages and Oxford is lovely.

London is dead. Go to Edinburgh and see Somali culture up close and personal. Like Minneapolis with castles and stuff
