President Trump Follow Your Own Advice

Drop this grenade. Dodge this bullet. Give us tax reform. Give us regulatory reform.

Numerous times the President has said in his opinion the Republicans should let Obamacare alone for a year or two. Let it implode (as it was designed to do) while the Democrats still own it.

When President Trump gave his well-received speech at CPAC, he said that he has told Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and the Republican leadership in Congress to simply “let it implode.” The law is simply “repealing itself,” Trump told the audience. “All we have to do is let it implode.” He tweeted Jan. 4, “Republicans must be careful in that the Dems own the failed ObamaCare disaster, with its poor coverage and massive premium increases…”

The problem here isn't Trump. The problem is the congressional COP unwilling to enforce party discipline and use the nuclear option for a real repeal bill. Americans are suffering and during under Obamacare because the GOP Congress critters can't find the balls to help them.

Ryan is prepared to rescue Obamacare even if it costs GOP control of the senate and the White House.

The implosion of Obamacare would be blamed on the Reps for failing to take action. The Dems would be introducing all kinds of “fixes” to mend Obamacare, not end it. The MSM would amplify the narrative that the GOP let the system implode hurting millions of Americans just to prove a point. Not good PR especially before the 2018 midterms.

There is no such thing as implosion.

Did social security implode? Did Medicare. Those programs have a worse fiscal situation than Obamacare. They haven’t “imploded”, whatever that means.

It’s all in the budget. It will be funded. Costs go up? So what? NHS costs in the UK go up. It still gets funded.

This is just silly. It’s not going to die just leaving it alone.

“The problem is the congressional..............”

Led by none other than Paul Ryan, the sleazy bastard from Wisconsin (which I am ashamed to say)

marron is right. The GOPe is fighting to keep the power for Fedzilla that Obamacare gives it. All of the federal agencies and infrastructure that puts Fedzilla at the center of all healthcare decisions and most importantly access to all medical records gives them tremendous power and they are not going to repeal that power. Most members of Congress are merely attendants of Fedzilla and will do whatever is best for Fedzilla, the people be damned.
