Will the movie Bitter Harvest do justice to the evils of Communism?

Communist persecution and the deliberate famine Stalin engineered in Ukraine: In only a few years, some 6-7 million Ukrainians perished in what they call the Holodomor.

Over the years we have been overwhelmed with extraordinary movies and documentaries about the Holocaust and the various atrocities of Nazi Germany. These horrific crimes against humanity deserve to be examined over and over again so they are never repeated.

But we see so little about the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) which killed more people than Hitler did, rivaled the repressive state apparatus of Nazi Germany, and easily outlasted the so-called Thousand-Year Reich. There have been plenty of movies about what Communism did to human beings but there has never been a Schindler’s List (1993) — at least not in English — for the victims of Communism. Schindler’s List, for anyone who has never seen it, is a masterpiece. It is a powerful, deeply moving, widely embraced account of the suffering of Jews in the Krakow Ghetto and then in the death camps.

There had always been internal Communist party rumors that Stalin's wife, Nadezhda Alliluyeva, committed suicide after informing Stalin of the horrors she had seen during a trip to the Ukraine.
She had assumed he knew nothing about what was happening there until he yelled at her and informed her to keep her nose out of business that didn't concern her.
Strange thing about her suicide: On or about November 7, 1932, the 15th anniversary of the Revolution, Nadezhda Alliluveya went upstairs to bed, and when the housekeeper came to wake her up in the morning, she found the lady of the house dead, shot through the right temple, a pistol lying on the bed beside her.
But Nadezhsda Alliluveya was left-handed. Try shooting yourself through the right temple with your left hand. And there were no powder marks on her temple. And she’d left a letter: There is no getting away from him, it said. The doctor who did the autopsy reported she was shot from a distance of 4 meters. That doctor was subsequently executed.
Sometimes it's hard to know what to believe.

The trailer I saw showed only Stalin. Truth is, the famine started under Lenin in about 1921. Problem is, the Left in the West still loves Lenin.

I just saw the movie Bitter Harvest. I think it is a Hollywood production. As such, it is the first Hollywood anti-communist movie I have seen. As far as I can tell, it is the only anti-communist movie to have come out of Hollywood. I’ve looked for a movie like this for a long time.

It is a very good movie. I recommend that you all see it, both for the movie itself, and for the choice of topic.
