Trump and Putin must co-operate to defeat Islamic State
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/02/16 | Davis Singer

Defeating Islamic State is a shared interest of Trump and Putin. Co-operation in the United Nations Security Council will materially advance that objective.

President Trump made his intention to destroy Islamic State crystal clear in his stirring address to the Congress on 28 February:

“As promised, I directed the Department of Defense to develop a plan to demolish and destroy ISIS—a network of lawless savages that have slaughtered Muslims and Christians, and men, women, and children of all faiths and beliefs. We will work with our allies, including our friends and allies in the Muslim world, to extinguish this vile enemy from our planet.”

The left does not want us to work with Russia on this as they will fear for their muslim fanatical pals, and how dare we work with a country which does not allow their homosexuals agenda.

Any type of military venture with the Russians will not end well.

Diplomacy, cultural exchange, the resurrection of Christianity.... These are all good. But keep our militaries separate.

Exactly! A US-Russia alliance would be a huge bulwark against the islamicization of the West, which is at the heart of the anti-Trumpers, IMO.

This more than anything else is why Trump must win.

The United States of America doesn’t need to cooperate with any damn body to destroy ISIS.....OTOH....

Everybody damn well needs to cooperate with U.S. to annihilate ISIS.

hey Kellyanne, tell DJT that.

Umm, actually, they do.

Destroying ISIS will require tactics that are abhorrent to the American public. The collateral damage from such an offensive would quickly sour the citizenry and put the U.S. leaders in a difficult political position.

The Russians soldiers don't have to look over their shoulders. That allows them to be more efficient.

The US needs to work on Russia to bring down the mullah rule in Iran.

Can't do it without Russia.

So far we have screwed away 6 trillion(?) per Trumps' speech. While Putin has accomplished more on a lot less.

I disagree ...... We need to teach our people that war is not nice, but horrible and innocents die. We can’t be outsourcing our dirty work....that is not what made America Great.

We didn’t have someone else drop the bomb on HIroshima. Trump needs to stay strong and focused. I can tolerate only one of these milktoast speeches like last night’s, from him a year and thats it.....for the rest of the year
FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, DAMN THE TORPEDOES FULL SPEED AHEAD.

Hell Raqqa should have already been a smoking ruin by now. Instead looks like we are going to try a kinder gentler compassionate way to kill isis and lose money and American lives along the way.

Putin has never tried to put an end to ISIS. He only went to Syria for the sole purpose of securing Assad for his buddies in Iran and to allow Russia a warm water port. Anything Russia has done to parts of ISIS is collateral to that.

Worked pretty well in WW2.

If Putin is a bulwark against Islam, then why are they at the behest of Iran? Russia is close allies with Iran? Why are they now allies with Chechens? With Turkey? Why was Russia about to sell out their longtime Armenian allies to the Azerbajanis last summer? Simply put, anyone who thinks Putin is some kind of antu-Muslim warrior is 100% idiot.

You mean the same mullahs that Putin is allies with, and who ordered him to go into Syria and save their guy Assad? That’s hilarious. Putin is much closer to those mullahs than he is to Trump.

That’s both the problem and incomprehensible.

Russia has long been an ally of Iran. Putin does not care about Christians or Muslims.

It’s still incomprehensible to me why Russia would support ISLAM, much less a regime that exports same. They should have had enough recent experience with Jihad to know that it is well past time to shut Jihad down.
