I say no deal. If Trump caves it is the end of his presidency.

The only kind of reform we need is vigorous enforcement and restricting legal immigration as in Sen. Tom Cotton’s proposal.
Keep Rubio and his Gang of Amnesty as far away as possible. Trump should not go wobbly on the issue that got him elected.

Alexander, Corker, Graham, Flake, Heller, Hatch, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain and Rubio all voted for the Gang of Amnesty and should be removed from office.

With Bannon & Miller in the White House I don’t see how ANY amnesty is possible. Lot of misinformation out there.

OK. I’m seeing something. This merit based idea... so what did Trump say... for legal immigration we need to make it merit based you have to add value to the country ..you have to support your self ... in othe words a true net asset to the country

Now if that criteria was a requirement for someone that here illegally to become legal. In other words a true middle class net asset to the country working person that happen to be here illegally.

Then...Trump smart’s ..keep the illigals that really are a value ..reframe the lefts argument about compassion for illegal to are there value to the country and other American citizens or are they a drain

That’s the story of the GOP Congress on everything. Everything will be “difficult.” Repeal Obamacare? Difficult and probably not possible? Immigration reform? Difficult but may be possible. Cut spending? Here are all the reasons why that is difficult. Maybe Marco should retire if this is all so difficult.

Did you listen to his speech? Stop following fake news if you can’t filter it. He didn’t only not cave, he doubled doubt and said that even legal immigration should be merit based!

Be VERY WARY of any promises of fines and no access to government services for x years in exchange for “amnesty.”

It will be a LIE because the Dems (and republicans, too) will fight to eliminate any penalties as soon as amnesty is given.

What part of “illegal” don't they understand? A nation without borders ceases to be a nation.

“then you can do something very reasonable with the people who have been here a long time who are not gang bangers, who are not criminals, who are not a threat to public safety.”

Rubio and the rest of you RINOS, get this--

THEY ARE, IN FACT, CRIMINALS.

Anyone who comes into the country illegally is A CRIMINAL.

It will work out just fine.

We’ll continue to round up felonius immigrants, those who are currently under deportation process and second DUI types.

Then will strengthen workplace laws and enforcement.

But, the big one will be when they reduce H1B visas. There aren’t that many more intelligent workers coming from India, China and other countries.

Americans can do those jobs and will now have the opportunity.

No more “refugees.” Let them fix their own countries that they and their ignorant “religion” of islam has destroyed.

Deport all illegals now.

It they want to reform aspects legal immigration, then go for it. But it is stupid for anyone who thinks the law should be enforced to start negotiating improvements in legal immigration with any aspect of how illegal aliens are handled.

As a member of the bipartisan “Gang of Eight,” Rubio pushed a comprehensive immigration reform amnesty bill in 2013

and it's a big factor in why he wasn't the nominee.
