All of these anti-2nd Amendment rulings will eventually be heard by SCOTUS.

A Hillary Clinton appointed court would have further impacted the 2nd Amendment. What a bullet we dodged in November!

We need the Senate to get Judge Gorsuch confirmed soon and hope for a few more SCOTUS retirements.

An unconstitutional ruling that should be nullified by the states and considered void.

So Judge, just how many Concealed Carry Pistol License holders a year commit violent gun crimes compared to criminals? In my state we call them “good guy cards” as they certify to all that you and your criminal/mental record have been evaluated and you are NOT A THREAT!

Judge James A. Wynn opined, “Individuals who carry firearms—lawfully or unlawfully—pose a categorical risk of danger to others and police officers, in particular.” Wynn added, “Individuals who choose to carry firearms [therefore] forego certain constitutional protections afforded to individuals who elect not to carry firearms.”

He made that opinion up out of whole cloth. There is NOTHING in the constitution to support that statement.

How about king-fu experts? How about a chainsaw? A mad ferret?

They’ll let anyone wear a black robe these days.

This is crazy.

If anything it would be the observed weirdness of the people stopped. Then you see they have a gun on top of that and it puts anyones radar up.

But this zerothink everyone isma suspect if they have a gun,,is nuts. Context. Context and observed behavior.

Yes. That's true. Even if they're wearing a funny blue suit with a badge on the shirt. Those guys are posing a categorical risk of danger to everyone around them ... even in the donut shop. So I'm justified in treating them like anyone else who is armed and posing to me a categorical danger of death or grave bodily harm.

Right?

How 'bout that, "Judge"?

Sounds like the Judiciary branch is tired of just interpreting the Constitution and pretends it has the authority to amend it.

The reasoning is bad, you do not forego constitutional rights by lawfully carrying a gun or any other weapon.

But the outcome has long been settled law - if a cop stops a vehicle in a lawful traffic stop and reasonably suspects someone of carrying a weapon, he can pat that person down and take reasonable steps to ensure his own safety during the duration of the traffic stop. That doesn’t transgress anyone’s constitutional rights. We don’t require cops to commit suicide on the job.

I see.

Exercising your Second Amendment rights abridges your Fourth Amendment right to be secure in your possessions, and your First Amendment right to peaceably assemble?

The ruling itself, that the gun can be admitted as evidence, in my opinion is not bad.

The guy is convicted felon and should be put away for a long time.

The problem is with the idiotic statements by the judge that anyone carrying a gun is dangerous.

I’m not really sure where the danger to the 2nd amendment comes from the ruling in this case.
