One notation was seen on Jezebel,com, written by Anna Merlan on 06/15/16. The proposal to draft was submitted by Duncan Hunter. Hunter didn’t really expect that provision to be adopted, and meant it to be seen as a ‘gotcha ammendment’. He didn’t think liberals would ever draft women. Hunter then proceeded to vote against his own amendment. Still, the measure stayed in the bill.
On Tuesday, the Senate approved the NDAA 85-13, in spite of objections by some, including Ted Cruz and Heritage Action, a conservative advocacy arm of the Heritage Foundation.
I like the fact that he is asking the Pentagon to come up with a plan to increase capability.
The way this has worked in the past is the White House and Congress told the military what they were going to give them and asked for their input on manpower and maintenance.

Just because girls have to register doesn’t mean we have to draft them.
However, they can be quite useful and productive behind the lines and back in the states. Innumerable appropriate roles in war time.
I served with dozens of women that were very good at their job and perfectly patriotic. But I could not imagine sharing a foxhole with any of them.
So there is no law requiring women to register for the draft in 2018. It is may be.
These people should never have been or be allowed
in the military or even the country for that matter.
Get off the NATO Standardization, and design or purchase existing firearms off the shelf, with OUR mission standards as a baseline.
They are rescinded. They stopped following them in December.
