Cold War continues – the American Cold Civil War

If we're going to make Congress and all of America great again, we need to continue working to drain that swamp of entrenched politicians

Cold war was a term that took up common usage beginning in 1950s America to describe the ongoing conflict between the U.S and the Soviet Union. While not engaged in direct military action, the two nations were diametrically opposed to each other diplomatically, in proxy wars and in economic matters. An attitude of war toward each other but restrained, in this case by mutual assured destruction if they came to blows.

Now America is in a new Cold War, a Cold Civil War. Two irreconcilable world views are in conflict within our nation. One sees freedom of personal initiative necessary for development of the whole society, and the minimal involvement of a central authority. This view is rooted in the founding of our nation.

Half the country wants to be left alone and doesn’t want to control anyone. The other half wants to control everyone.

No, I think half the country doesn’t want to control anything except their next hit, next bottle or next screw.

Now more than 1/2 of us in the Deplorable States and in many bluish states want to maintain core values of patriotism, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, less enslavement by the government, vastly better school systems actually teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, real history (based on facts as they can be found) and civics...I could rant on.

We in the More than 1/2 of us part are not much interested in lots of government and to be in control of anybody except ourselves and cooperatively with our family and other relations and to some extent local and regional government.

It seems to me it is the inner city denezins who don’t belong to the other 1/2+ group. Maybe they should be happy to be inner city SF, Flint, Detroit, NYC, LA, etc.

Dennis Prager calls this the war of the world views.
Liberal secularists worldwide see conservative Christians/Jews as the enemy. They are afraid of the Christians implementing a Taliban like state, best exemplified by “A Handmaid’s Tale” by Atwood. They can’t escape that phantom fear because they’ve been fighting the culture war for a century.
There is a third group, the Islam-fascist. Liberal secularists join with Islam-Fasicsts to fight against the American/nationalist Westerners and conservative religious and like the ability to say “I’m not anti-religion, see, this Muslim agrees with me”.
Because the liberal secularists have converted so many, they expect Muslims to do the same. Yet they give Muslims in the name of multi-culturualism physical ghettos, reasons not to assimilate and cultural accommodation. You want sex segregation of swimming pools, prayer rooms, religiously approved food, etc? You got it. Christian doesn’t want to make a wedding cake, that’s evil.
What liberal secularists ignore is the true threat to liberal secular values that fundamentalist Muslims bring. The 5x (or higher) rape rate in the EU since Merkel invited in millions of mostly young Muslim men, hate crimes against homosexuals and Jews likewise spiking, attacks or extortion against bars and berating women and sexually harassing them to make them cover up. Women’s rights, homosexual rights, so many icons of liberal secular values are eroded by the inability to admit fundamentalist Islam is contrary to liberal secular values and the West.
The catering to the “Muslim” community by going through mosques is counter-productive, since it shuts out secular Muslims from the conversation and usually goes to the biggest, most fundamentalist mosque in the community. Ditto liberals saying you can’t criticize Islam as either a faith or political system, reinforcing Muslims’ higher status in society and denying that you can have a separation of political and religious Islam. (Fundamentalist Muslims say you must have both, moderate Muslims say they can be Muslim without imposing it on everyone else.)
Liberal secularists ignore the fact that the very people they import and coddle call for the death as a matter of religious and political law most liberal secular “underprivileged” groups.

But here's the ultimate irony: the Union established the centralized, out-of-balance federal government. For 150 years, the Union was in control of the original big government movement.

Yet it has taken the election of a citizen of New York - the Union ring leader - as president to turn history on its head. Now, it is those who embrace the philosophy of individual & states rights who are in charge.

And who are the new targets of the self-same federal behemoth that was created so long ago? Why, the very same forces that created the Union & centralization: New York, California & Illinois.

Who says doG doesn't have a sense of humor?

When cops are getting killed it is not a Cold War.

It may be moving past the point of being a "Cold" War, but make no mistake about it, the left is at war with us.
