I used a newly created gmail address to create a Twitter acct. Twitter was the one that called me a robot and wanted my phone number.

Why the hostility towards Twitter?
Thanks to Twitter, Trump can speak straight to the people without the filter of the hostile MSM.
Conservatives should be taking Twitter over, not avoiding it.
No confusion. It was a bit of sarcasm. If gmail requires REALid compliant account for twitter to accept it that is still interestingly worth discussing. I find it fascinating that twitter wants to “validate” accounts that follow Trump but anyone else can have all the bots they want as followers. Lol

I agree we should dominate Twitter. Much easier to take it to the news media and organization than Facebook or other communication mediums.
As was noted above it is the best way for Trump to communicate unfiltered with his supporters. Looks like RSBN is trying to set up in Washington to help get Trump’s message out more effectively on YouTube. THey videoed his press conference and have it up.
Trump may start a weekly direct video to the people and announced over Twitter.
That sounds like something Hillary would do.

In Twitter’s defense, if I remember correctly, there were a lot of other people’s accounts on the left side of the screen that I immediately went about deleting. I think these were others that Twitter suggested I follow. I just started getting rid of that garbage by rapidly deleting them. I guess it hurt Twitter’s feelings. That’s when it threw up a screen telling me I might be a robot and I would need to verify I was a human by entering my phone number. To this day, if I try to log in, it still asks for my number.

Boy, did I find find that out with a fax number I advertised at my business website. At one point, I even had an 800 number dedicated fax line. I’d go to the office and have 3 or 4 printed out advertisements waiting for me in the fax machine...vacations, insurance, roofing, painting, erectile dysfunction! First step, I eliminated the 800#, finally the dedicated fax landline...ported my fax number over to an online fax server. I’d still get garbage, but I could delete the fax images rather than pay for an extra landline and fax machine toner. Finally eliminated faxing all together and went to scan, create PDF, and email.
What a nightmare.
