The Ministry of Propaganda, the primary generator of fake news, wants to label everything else as fake news.
They really resent having lost their monopoly on information.
Let’s use the historic term for fake news = Yellow Journalism.
don’t know if this qualifies as ‘fake news’ but how about the articles on the homeless that suddenly appear every time a Republican takeover of the government annoys the MSM. The NYT had five articles recently and I don’t recall than many during the entire tenure of Obama.
And by the way, the history of the huge numbers of homeless shows that it began as fake news. Some social worker in D.C.(Michael something?) put out a figure of 40,000 homeless back in the day which he later admitted he pulled out of the air in order to grab attention to the plight of the homeless. It worked as it brought the problem to the forefront of the American people who began to funnel more charity money and attention to to the issue.
The lie that honest Americwn gun dealers were deliberately selling American guns to Mexican cartels to be used in killing Mexicans in Mexico - The “Fast and Furious” OBama/ATF false flag and propaganda campaign supported by the FAKE NEWS efforts of the mainstream media.
We need to start a list of Fake news perpetuated by the left and the MSM. Then anytime they accuse the right of fake news aw can start rattling off all their examples.
LOL! Point well taken. Great comment.
Upending words is the trend.
I like original terms, also.
“YELLOW JOURNALISM” has a history and heroically set the dang standard!
Guess “fake news” appeals to the Neanderthals in the Democrat/Marxist base, who grunt propaganda as an excuse for wrecking whole cities.
I think you are right. It’s pretty easy to do.

The drive-by media are not really reporters, but rather Bolsheviks with pencils behind their ears.
Someone really should prove otherwise...
