.410/45ACP Homemade Pistol

Make a Bang with this 45 ACP Survival Pistol
If you couldn't afford a real pistol could you make one out of ordinary metal pipes? Obviously, yes for many of us preppers are into DIY (do it yourself) and there are lots of instructions that you can find on the internet.

The .410/45ACP pistol is a very simple design all required is a barrel fitted for either a .410 shotgun shell or a 45ACP round. The other part is the receiver that houses the plunger with the pin on the inside, this sits on top of the grip.

The grip handle is hollow which can hold a couple of 45ACP rounds or .410 shells. To shoot just screw the barrel with a round in it to the handle. Pull back on the plunger to cock the gun and squeeze the trigger.

When not in use, you can take off the barrel and now the pistol is in two parts which can be placed into your "bug out bag". You can have as many barrels as you’d like with shells or rounds inserted when ready to go. Its definitely a poor man homemade pistol, what do you all think? See it in action here.

No thanks. I’ll just keep my Taurus Judge.

Then there’s the S&W Governor (.410, .45COLT, and .45ACP). The Judge is “only” .410 and .45Colt and a 5 shot, whereas the Governor is a 6-shooter.

It’s not as though our guns are gone. Use a real one.

It does. I prefer to use the right tool if I can get it and not think it’s Mad Max so I should pretend in some childish fantasy that I have to make-do.

That’s cool and I’m actually into stuff like this. I believe I’ll stick with my Mak90 and P38

Of course, me and some friends made a cannon that fired bowling balls. Homemade weapons can be great fun and a wonderful hobby for the mechanically inclined. I make homemade black powder too, mostly for my 1851 navy colt

These things really only have value in countries that have strict firearm ownership laws.

Just buy another couple or a few really firearms store them in different locations with some ammo and you are way ahead of the game. Buy them on the open market with cash and no paper work.

Played around with this stuff 40 years ago and realized it is easier to buy more real firearms.

I had the same conclusion. Plus, if the SHTF, I ain’t sounding off a firearm just to get noticed.

It’s a good thing he rifled the barrels. Otherwise it would require registration as a short-barrelled shotgun to be legal. Paperwork and a $200. tax stamp...

Zip Gun Model 2................ Model#1 was easy to make, but now car antennas are solid. They were light weight too, piece of wood, friction tape, rubber bands and a small bolt latch screwed into the wood. Haven’t seen any around in the past 50+ years. I guess with all the video games and iPhones our creativity has been lost.

This guy has more than 250,000 subscribers and millions of views to his channel. The video is a week old and has already been watched 75K times. Videos he made a year ago have been watched millions of times and continue to be watched. Things will have gone way wrong in my life if I ever need to make a homemade firearm, but I admire a guy who has found a way to monetize his hobby. I’d rather watch him shoot his pipe guns than most of what’s on television.
