An Open Letter To America And Her New President

The Russians Made Me Write This

Years ago in a Wal-Mart, I was walking past the toy department. A screaming four year-old was demanding that his mom buy him the little car set he had opened and scattered all over the floor. After the young mother had several times declined and asked him to come along with her, the boy threw one of the toys at her, leaving a cut on her forehead.

The rattled mom stood there and began slowly counting as some parents do before administering discipline. After she got to ‘five’, the kid stomped his foot and threw another car nearly hitting another shopper. The boy’s face was purple now. Mom started over with ‘one,’ and began counting again. A crowd had gathered, and a manager was looking at the mess in disbelief. The mother smiled at the boy, held out her hand and again pleaded with him to come with her. And what happened next is one reason why my wife never takes me anywhere with her.

Good article, but it mentions that Humphrey won the popular vote in 2008 by 2 million votes. I don’t remember that being the case. Didn’t Nixon win but a small margin?

And it may be said of another man-child, stomping his foot in anger and flinging unwelcome missiles at others, “Isn’t he PRECIOUS!”

As well he may be.

Nice article, but Nixon also won the popular vote over Humphrey by roughly a half million votes. Humphrey made those remarks earlier in the evening when it became clear he would lose the election but was still leading the nationwide popular vote. In those days, the left coast was still competitive and provided Nixon with most of the margin he needed to win the irrelevant popular vote contest as well.

The guy needs to correct his article he states Hubert Humphrey won the popular vote in 1968 while losing the Electoral College

Not true Nixon won both the electoral college and popular vote in 68

It reminds me of a child in what was then called “Gibsons” in Texas. As the 4 yo was gleefully ripping and tearing up stuff from the kiosk and side shelves as we stood in line to check out, the mother was ignoring her son. Not a word did she say, standing in her Muslim hajib and scarf.

I, of course, said, “I hope you will stop him or I will call the manager to stop him! Your son’s damage will cost us all in prices in this store.” She then told me in many words that no one was to discipline her son except his father.

The manager did then show up and proceeded to take the child and hand him to the mother whom he then escorted out of the store. She turned an screamed at me I would be “taken care of”.

Indeed, as I exited the store, buggy to the front, I heard a motor roar and that crazy Muslim woman was driving straight at me. Other people were screaming and scattering. I moved to the left and she roared passed, went to the end of the traffic lane, turned around and came back for another go.

I again moved and she missed. By then the police were there and arrested her.

She was deported immediately after the visit with the judge. I think that was a correct ending.

Her behavior was typically jihadist, just much sooner then is currently going on but certainly within the 1400 year history of Islam’s confrontation with the West.

“Mr. Trump, I am not asking that you do anything for me as president. You already have lightened my heart and given me hope by running and winning in this battle. Through my faith in God, I trust and support the actions you will be taking in moving America back toward her greatness.”

Amen Brother! God Bless & Protect P-E Trump!

Don't forget that in those days, most elections were conducted honesty. Some Democrat heavy precincts tried to be among the first to report in order to gain up a bandwagon atmosphere for polls which were still opened.

With far less sophisticated tools than we have today, networks would actually declare states earlier than the do today. I was a kid in 1968, but seem to remember that the cliffhanger earlier in the evening was called by my central time zone bedtime.

There are many on Free Republic that could easily answer your query. Guess I mentally gave up on keeping the right thing true a time back. Our press turns things in untrue ways. of course it is a matter of brain washing, poor teaching of history, etc.
Sadly it has worked to/ on the people at large usually too busy to follow truth, or even know if it is truth, or opinion, it is a fuzzy line often.

God Bless America.

This seems to be the result of learning to treat other people as objects rather than persons. Maybe as dolls to dote on; maybe as dogs or cats to be trained with “methods.” But treating them as persons with whom to relate — about whom to dare to even care, from the start? That seems to be foreign to our thinking.

We’re rich (relatively, compared to much of the world) and yet we’re poor. The riches are a forlorn placeholder, waiting once more for something to be about.

Kind words and thoughts cost nothing, beyond our own pride that is. People are often sad and distressed in this world. It is a world in which all have gone astray due to sin. We would be in the most horrible permanent pickle with God due to this, if it were not for His Son.

So do people try to embrace this Son as the precious forgiving, loving, gently correcting (to the willing) and soul rebuilding entity He is, and spread the attitude? Sadly, all so very often, no. It’s just been Christmas. How quickly that can lapse into me-mas.

The result is people, like that little boy, who are trying to find enjoyment and solace in demanding a part in the shallow, and even the mother, who only wants him to “behave.” The spiritual desert stretches out, burning and barren.

If a wealth revival (which Donald Trump appears quite competent to effect) isn’t also accompanied by a soul revival (which needs Jesus Christ) it will have been in vain, an acceleration of the emptiness.

I happen to believe that, in fact, in this age Jesus is stooping even closer to the world now. That Donald Trump is only one sign of an age of increased grace to come. But when Jesus is seen, we must needs give Him praise and glory. Without that, all we can participate in is more of the scorched emptiness beyond feeling that is one characteristic of hell.

When did that happen (day, month, year)? In what town?

The Islamic Allah is an evil, destructive god.

Is is this baleful being that has gotten quite a swelled, proud head about all the people it manipulates, like so many spiritual puppets.

We westerners so often get so annoyed at the immediate that we lose sight of the big picture.

When Christ died, He advertised it as being extended to all. We look at Muslims and say “impossible! they will never behave themselves!”

Well it’s true, they won’t while they are the Islamic Allah’s puppets.

But while we were yet dead in our trespasses and sins, Christ died for us.

Maybe there have been no significant Christian inroads into the Islamic community, because God saw that Christians were being so distracted by the Allah-inspired wickedness of the Muslims that they focused on the immediate, and even hooted at the few who proposed a broader vision. So why bother scheduling any elect into the Muslim community? They’d never see the kind of clear witness needed to shake their birth mindset.

We need Christians who will spiritually man up in Jesus enough to face off with Allah with power. Sap Allah of power, and Islam will be sapped of power too. How this is going to happen, I know no specifics beyond what the bible has always said.

Could it have been you? Time heals most all things. Our part is to learn from our experiences and pass it on to others. Isn’t it?

The irony is... that in spite of our bad behavior, in God’s sight we are precious, although God will never violate our will. Because if God did violate our will, love would no longer be love, but puppet manipulation. But God will orchestrate our circumstances such, if we are willing to even begin to pick up on His love, we will see things that focus our thoughts in the right direction.

I’m sure in the story, this means an irony about treating the boy as superficially precious. I.e. dote on his cuteness, but don’t do a thing about redirecting his misdirected impulses (which we all have, due to sin). The boy appears to had been done a profound disservice, or non-service, long before this happened... and where’s his dad anyhow? Could those toy cars be the forlorn proxy that he has seized upon for his dad... for a real man who will care about him and teach him how to enjoy such things?
