My far ranging missionary friend was in Northern Wisconsin a few days ago. He noticed this gun culture Christmas tree and sent me some photos.
The book is John Lott's famous "More Guns, Less Crime". The belted ammunition appears to be 7.62 NATO linked blanks. Probably left over from a National Guard exercise.
This is a good, environmentally friendly way to celebrate Christmas.
No live trees were harmed to create this display.

I think a tree more in keeping with the spirit of the season would be one that celebrated no NEED for guns. However, that world is not likely to ever be realized as long as humans are what they are.

The Service Adviser at the dealership where I do business has a CCW and is a shooter. She carries a .357 revolver and has a .308 rifle she loves to shoot.

Oh yeah? Just wait until those guns start mysteriously shooting on their own.

How to buy a new gun without “triggering” your wife...
Just sneak it into the safe and don’t touch it for two months...when she finally sees it and asks when you got it you can truthfully say “oh...this thing! I’ve had it a while!
