Fair criticism. A corporation, its directors, and officers are responsible for the operations supported directly and indirectly. But unless Tillerson is evangelizing abortion, Perkins’ litmus test, however legitimate, may not be relevant to SoS.

Actually, Trump said he would NOT stop funding of PP at 3 separate debates in the primary. He said he would stop funding abortions at PP because PP “does a lot of great things for women”. He would only stop the abortion part, as if he doesn’t understand money is fungible. You can believe what you want to beleive as a women, but Trump is going to let you down over and over. Ivanka is pro-choice and he cares what she has to say more than anyone else.
The House of Representative is the source of all government spending. They do NOT have to fund PP... yet they do. Trump cannot let me down more than those that live as parasites in elected office, taxing, mandating, and regulating US to death. Figuratively and literally.

Oil companies try to buy favor with the energy hating left by supporting their social agenda. A lot of companies are doing it. Maybe that will change with Trump in power.

I’m conflicted about this choice. I have nothing but disdain for Planned Parenthood. If I had my choice, each facility would be swallowed by sinkholes today.
Tillerson also was instrumental in Boy Scouts of America changing their membership to allow homosexuality within the ranks.
I realize he “prayed about it” but I’m not sure who he prayed to. The God of the Bible does not give justification for sin.
My family was a BSA family. I was only a Cub Scout, but when my son got involved, so did I. I rose to Scoutmaster and even started a troop. He rose to Eagle. My other son was Life when Tillersons membership change went through.
Our family left BSA. Our entire troop came along for the ride. We started a Trail Life USA troop the day TLUSA became official.
It’s frankly a better achievement program. We honor the legacy of BSA and we’re raising the standard.
Last week, my younger son earned Trail Life USA’s pinnacle award, the Freedom Award. It’s harder to earn than Eagle and hopefully will someday have the same level of prestige. He’s the first in our state and 11 state TLUSA region to earn the Freedom Award.
As much as I like trump and support his decisions, and since I’m also aware that Secretary of State doesn’t have a lot to do with abortion or scouting, I question his morals and ethics because of these two issues. They don’t point to True North, but instead toward a squishy worldview.

A lifetime appointment for a unqualified political crony vs a limited term for a most qualified candidate.
