This moron swore an oath to uphold and defend the constitution, a document she apparently never read. You certainly can amend it. All it takes is approval of 2/3 of the house and senate, and then ratification by the legislatures of 3/4 of the states.

I heard that California wanted to become a sanctuary state. I thought this would work out well - all of the illegals can move to California, all of the clear-thinking conservative people in California (if there are any) can move inland, let California secede, and voila! Problem solved.

This is just the ultimate show of being a sore loser. None of this talk would be occurring on their side if Hillary had won. The Democrats are acting like that straight A student who received his first B and cannot accept it, and is completely freaking out.

I am 100% for it. Allow them to try their social experiment and be responsible for the financial mess it will create. I welcome the founding of the Second People’s Republic of California.

Cheap virtue Dave

You can do better

What’s wrong with America is way beyond our political parties

Both of which are bad

I lived in California years ago when it was an amazing, fantastic state.

I agree with your comments 100%.

If California tries to break away, send some modern day General Sherman(s) there to force it back into the Union.
Reconstruct the state, both in a physical sense (because the destruction will be immense) and in a political sense, minus the illegals, the anchor babies and most of the liberals.

Make California the trend-setting, pro-business, conservative state it once was.

Make California Great Again!

When Taxas mentioned sucession I heard that there were laws preventing it. Do those laws not apply to California?

Just think, without the influx of New York and other
Northeastern libtards California might have remained a
relatively Republican state.

Another New Yorker pointing a finger at California. I
guess that means if/when Texas votes with the lefties
it will be OK for us Golden Staters to point our fingers
at them in full blame mode.

I, for one, am going to enjoy Civil War II against the California Confederacy as we get to watch Trump’s Union Army march to the sea and burn down San Francisco and Berkley!

We on the right should support that.

By far our biggest problem in this country is the left. Let them go peacefully.

That is right! Demand enforcement of the 9th and 10th Amendment.

The American part of California should be allowed to remain in the union. Cede the rest to Mexico.

They just need to leave the country, with Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea as welcoming destinations.

So... California wants to secede to keep illegal immigrants doing the menial jobs Americans don’t want to do. Something about seceding over slave labor sounds familiar...

Well CA won’t be nearly so beautiful when we shut off their water and electricity.

Amen. From your fingertips to God's eyes.

We already have a name for the part of the state that remains in The US:

The State of Jefferson

Let ‘em go, but not by state, by county! That way I get to stay at home in my red dot in Blue Jersey!

In this case....Jefferson would immediately vote for secession from the Republic of California...to join the US, and the rest of California would break up into five or six states within a couple of years.

Californians like to boast about how big their state would be as a country if they left. However, if they did leave, the aerospace and defense industry would have to move back to the US. And Silicon Valley would have to move back to the US as well. The only reason Silicon Valley exists in the Bay area is because that is where the biggest venture capitalists are. Those would move inside the US again, because it is a bigger market.
