The Department of Energy manages nuclear weapons development at national laboratories run by the Dept. Of Energy. It is the most essential work done in the DOE and would have to move to a different department. All the other R&D conducted by DOE is mostly useless.
Ohhhh.... I'm not touching that one with a ten foot pole. We'll be here all day! ;-)
