...The image of confederate surrender surprised me; it was not something I expected to see at a boating club though it did seem to fit the occasion. The letter explained the artists rendering of the little known events of the day which ended four years of Americas bloodiest conflict, the casualties amounting to 2% of the population at the time or 620,000 men. (Civil War Casualties, Civil War Trust).
The equivalent percentage of todays population would be 6 million....
...Whats particularly relevant is the manner in which Chamberlain received General Gordon and his troops during their march. Best in his own words, Chamberlain wrote about the surrender, but steel yourself, even 151 years later this is a stirring and difficult passage to read....
...Consider this womans statement about pain in the context of the pain felt by our society post-election with its protest marches, violence, and abject despair at Hillary Clintons loss, the YUGE upset at he polls, the petitions to get rid of the electoral college, the misbehavior and ugliness from groups around the country, the posts all over social media which label the opposition with hateful mean spirited rhetoric, something the media has fueled for years now...
...America has spoken and heres what we learned: ad hominem attacks and labels dont work. I am not a white supremacist. I am not a racist. I am not a misogynist. Diversity is more than the color of our skin, or our heritage, or our income, or our education level; it is diversity of belief and thought and experience and action.

“class” is an alien concept for Liberals.
They had no class in their success for the past 8 years, and they have NO class in their present defeat.
They are a disgrace...I don’t know how they can EVEN stand themselves.
All well and good. But I recall being taught such lessons in fourth grade. The fact that voting age children don't know this IS the problem - not just in their behavior, but who they vote for at all. Their immaturity is why Hillary constantly enacted immature, vicious and facile behavior to them - for them to imitate, and for them to see she thought similarly.
Hillary's forty year strategy to seize the presidency was more than audacious. Through feminism she created the soccer moms, through the soccer moms she created the snowflakes, and through both she murdered maturity itself, and then corrupted the hearts of the resulting adult children into a feral Lord of the Flies Democratic Party that would relate to her own soul corruption as the "new normal" they would identify with and vote for.
She lost, but she's left us with these destroyed people. Her crimes before God and humanity are virtually limitless. She's a murderer of an entire people. "Psychopath" doesn't begin to describe her.
Excellent example of honor and dignity, when winning or losing.
We have lost the dignity of victory. Watch any NFL game on any Sunday and you will come to see that I am correct.
These kids are indoctrinated to think that you are tolerant only to those that agree with you, and anything less cannot be tolerated because it is wrong to tolerate those that you determine are intolerant. Intolerant equating to not agreeing with you 100%.
This is the socialism revisionism groupthink we are dealing with.
