Funny I have been AIP for a decade and I voted for Trump - because he was by far the most conservative candidate running and the only one who could beat Hillary.
Exactly.
Okay.... While we await your never ending nitpicking, why don’t you grab your Soros Sign and join the supercilious snots in the street. You, and all those like you, gave us 8 years of Obama but you couldn’t stop the Trump Train.
You must be a Free Traitor. You need the zot.
It’s really nice of you to do the Civil thing.
Your position was fine and dandy during the Primary, but it was a waste in the General. Just my humble Opinion.
I guess the threat of a Generational Liberal Supreme Court wasn’t enough to sway you, or a continued decimation of our Military, or the continued foreign Invasion of our Homeland, or the boatloads of Government Corruption exposed by WikiLeaks or...
Whatever, despite your best efforts Hillary is toast. YOU could have been counted as a Hillary Supporter by default if she had Won this Election, like it or not.
If you think Trump was the lesser of two Evils, so be it. I’ll take less Evil over more Evil any day of the week.
Thanks for nothing my FRiend.
Just so you know, I was a Cruzer until his Candidacy became impossible to defend. I proudly Voted for Trump on Nov. 8th.
Now I will look forward to the next four years without the Bush’s, the Clinton’s and the Obama’s.
I Hope you can do the same while appreciating the fact you had nothing to do with it.
Mine too.
Only in their conceit.
I disagree. A GOP party that has abandoned it’s conservative base in favor of positions and candidates that are more Dem-lite that anything else, gave us Obama.
It is only because Trump claimed to be a conservative that he won. Lets pray he governs as one.
I think you don’t have a clue as to what conservatism means. Conservatives are NOT Free Traders. Conservatives never bought of on the Bush NWO crappola. Conservatives do not condone the de industrialization of the USA and want NAFTA repealed and TPP killed. Conservatives do not want their fellow citizens undermined by artificial(bought thru corruption and bribes) visa quotas like H-1B.
I do think that Trump is the lesser of two evils and I do not vote for evil. That is why I did not vote for Trump.
I do look forward to the next 4 years without Clinton. However I also remember that:
- Clinton and Trump were friends
- Trump repeatedly praised Clinton
- Trump has been a life long NY liberal
- And Trump only recently switched his views to conservatives.
.... and as such, at BEST should be treated with extra caution. Maybe he has seen the light. Maybe he governs as a conservative. But I have seen too many such characters go to Washington and within a year, become part of the establishment and part of the problem.
I disagree. Conservatives want less government and more freedom. Trump does not promise that. I will repeat what got me banned from FR before:
Trump supports the government takeover and control of healthcare. See for yourself:
http://ijr.com/2016/02/537107-5-times-donald-trump-praised-socialized-healthcare/
Socialized healthcare is one of the cornerstones of implementing socialism. Obamacare needs to be repealed PERIOD. Not replaced.
Well, that is all well and good, but it came down to Trump versus Clinton. All a Third Party Vote could accomplish is giving Hillary the win. Luckily that didn’t happen.
As a 1992 Perot Voter, before I became politically aware of what the Democrat Party was capable of doing to screw over this Country, I will never live down that Vote.
Even knowing that Voting here in CA had no effect on the outcome of that Election I am still carrying around that burden.
Since we know exactly what Clinton would have done as POTUS and you are speculating as to what Trump may do, you still chose poorly IMHO.
Carry on my FRiend. It’s all Water under the Bridge at this point. January 20th can’t come soon enough for me.
Well that is your opinion. My choices are framed by the Bible which I understand to mean that I should vote MY conscience, not pragmatism. I did, and I am happy with my vote.
I hope Trump governs well enough to make you happy with yours.
As much as I needed to.
Being wrong after the fact is a lot like betting on a horse race after it’s over.
So why do you think the author should kill himself?
Because he was 100 percent wrong about Donald Trump?
I had two choices, so did you.
I’m glad the one I didn’t Vote for lost.
Just saw what Obama said today at his Presser. We didn’t just dodge a bullet getting rid of Hillary, we dodged an H Bomb.
It is the GOP that claimed conservatism but never was. Trump has clearly stated his position as a Nationalist with a populist appeal while encompassing virtually all the real conservative issues the GOP never moved the meter on.
