That is exactly what ought to happen, but based on Trump's speech, I don't believe he is going to do that after all.

But she and her whole rotten foundation need to go to prison.

He'll be busy doing other stuff. His Attorney General, on the other hand ...

...and pay back all the money they stole. If they can’t do that, reopen the debtor’s prison.

Job 1 for his AG is cleaning out the Aegean Stables that is the Justice Department and the FBI.

Not trying to be picky, but it’s Augean Stables. The Aegean Sea is in the Mediterranean area, I think.

But - In the sentiment, you are absolutely correct.

According to MSNBC there were chants of “lock her up” this morning on the trading floor of the NYSE. MSNBC is appalled. Good.

I can only hope, but we all know the Attorney General will only do such a thing if the President approves it, and I was getting the impression from Trump's speech that he is likely going to pass on the idea "to heal the country."

I personally think the best way to heal the country is to put the fear of incarceration into miscreants who break the law. I would roll up the entire Democrat party including any of it's donors found to have been committing illegal acts.

I would order the Justice department to figure out a way to get around any pardons he issues. I would also stick an IRS rectal probe up all of their anuses.

I like to quote movie lines. Here's one from the movie "Remo Williams."

The 11th commandment: "Thou shalt not get away with it."

Although it’s tempting, I don’t actually want any United States President or First Lady to ever be put in prison.
Tried, convicted and sentence commuted is an entirely different thing that would be acceptable.

As respecters of the law, I don’t care what high title HRC or any politician has held. If they broke the law, they do jail same as any other citizen. That’s why it’s called EQUAL JUSTICE under the law.

This bitch is responsible for more murders than you have fingers and toes. A lifetime of crime against humanity, both at home and abroad (sympathies to the Haitian people). She has gorged herself at the public troth at the expense of every working American. She has totally compromised our national security, putting the lives of every American at high risk. She was about to start WW3, killing even more of our young American men and women.

A coldblooded psychopath deserves no special “compassion”, just because the ignorant populace elected her and her husband. Special treatment (no jail time) contributes to a breakdown of respect for the rule of law, and emboldens others.

Remember what the Italians did to Mussolini, a fine historical reminder of what happens to people who abuse the populace in the extreme.

I was getting the impression from Trump's speech that he is likely going to pass on the idea "to heal the country."

I've seen enough of Trump that I notice that he either leaves himself wiggle room, or he uses broad generalizations and hyperbole that no one really expects him to follow through on. He also speaks for the short term, even if he has long term strategies and goals.

For instance, when Trump talks about lowering heroin abuse to ZERO in New Hampshire, no one expects him to actually achieve that the way Scott Walker might be held to an arbitrary number of 250,000 new jobs that he promised.

Short term, the job is to get the Clintons off the stage, keep his governing majority together, and don't give Obama an excuse to sabotage things overtly while he is still in office.

In exchange, he'll tone down the rhetoric, but all it will take, on say, January 26, or so, is for Trump to say, "Did you see what was in that Weiner e-mail?? Let me tell, you, itw as SO disgusting, believe me, I can't say it." He used a similar tactic when he proclaimed how nice he was in Debate 1 because Chelsea was in the audience or some such, and when the inevitable attacks came, let it all go in subsequent debates, Chelsea or no Chelsea.

He can also start with all the people around Clinton, starting with Huma and Podesta, and when the trail inevitably leads to HRC, BAM! Alternatively, he may hint at not pursuing in exchange for policy concessions from her remaining allies. That's ugly, but it is one way the game can be played, and depending on the policy position, it may well be worth it.

He needs to not make this look like a vendetta, so remaining as neutral as possible. He needs a commission to interview lower level FBI members with promises there will be no penalties for whistle blowing.

He is a sly fox. I don't think people really appreciate how good he is at persuasion and playing this "politics" game.

Yes, I've noticed a lot of his tactics were successful at getting people to look past a lot of things he said, and I think you may very well have the right of it when it comes to how this is all going to shape up.

He will definitely unleash the FBI and Justice Department on the Clinton foundation, and it is quite likely that Hillary and Bill will get snared in the net one way or the other.
