I wonder if Hillary is running out of places to bury those dead bodies of hers, Maybe she is looking at burying them in the upper peninsula of Michigan in a obscure Federal Park. HeHe, LOL

This is already one of the most secluded areas of the U.S. It’s likely that locals will ignore road closings and continue as usual. Makes me wonder if Forest Service is looking for a fight.

Is the U.P. still heavily Democrat, or has
Trump made minor inroads there?

Some Upper Peninsula residents are outraged over a U.S. Forest Service plan to close roads in the Hiawatha National Forest. Community members say they were left out of the planning process and presented with a plan they were expected to sign off on.

“But the plans were on display…”
“On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.”
“That’s the display department.”
“With a flashlight.”
“Ah, well, the lights had probably gone.”
“So had the stairs.”
“But look, you found the notice, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” said Arthur, “yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.

One of the announced goals is to limit access to make the forest more secluded for wildlife.

Now contemplate what the 12 Western States are experiencing who did not receive their public lands as they should have at Statehood.

They all are fat with so called Federal land to the tune of fifty percent or greater of their total area, and it explains the Bundy situation and the issues with grazing, BLM, forest service, park service etc.

All other states are less than five percent Federal land and so when the rogue agencies make such future plans known, it has an even greater impact on the public. Something the Western States have been forced to deal with for many many decades.

No one cares more about that land or will take care of it better than the good folks who live there.

The fed gov should turn ownership over to Michigan and get the hell out.

They closed off a bunch of the trails in Ottowa National Forest a few years ago.

...and yes the U.P. is heavily democrat.
