Im a Mormon woman supporting a moral outcome on Election Day. I dont condone sexual exploitation of anyone, and I believe Trump is the moral choice. Asking him to step aside is not an option, nor is it possible at this juncture, without causing chaos and court challenges. It would also set a terrible precedent empowering biased media collusion, as evidenced in recent Wikileaks exposes. The outcome would be catastrophic, handing the election to Clinton. Its open season, and it could get worse. But Trumps a fighter, and thats what America needs.
It leaves many people of faith asking, What is the moral imperative? Can an immoral leader stand for moral public policy?
Responses include voting for neither or not at all. Others dont buy the binary choice. As the late Phyllis Schlafly, first lady of the conservative movement, said, We have a two party system, and Jesus is not on the ballot.
If youre contemplating anything but the two top candidates and believe you will get a moral outcome, consider history: The highest popular vote a third party candidate has ever received was 33 percent of the 270 electoral votes needed and 27.86 percent of the popular vote. The average number of electoral votes received is 6.44. A 1 to 2 percent third-party vote can swing an election. McMullin is the intended spoiler candidate. In this close election, the outcome would likely be Clinton...

There is no moral problem with Trump in the first place.
Anyone who doesn’t see rank Hillary-paid MSM slander in the acusations, specifically designed to try to offset the mountain range of actual moral corruption of the Clintons, should go back to sucking their thumb.
I like this man. He fights.
This is the big LDS paper in Utah. Romney central. Sometimes you have to explain stuff to folks. I think she made a very good and concise case tailored to the audience at hand.
Mormons should know that if they cost Trump the election and elect the Wicked Witch of Chappaqua they will be as popular as they were after the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
They better have magic underwear.
Well, it’s about time that publication let someone on the other side speak their opinion. If someone can’t tell the difference between someone who just said Locker Room Talk vs. someone who had a response of the worst kind about our nation being under attack in Benghazi, I would take the dirty mouth over the Benghazigate.
“There is no moral problem with Trump in the first place.”
I know a Mormon couple(actually the wife) that is touting her support for Hillary. I was shocked at first, like “what?’ you are supporting her over Trump. Really?
Doesn’t Hillary go against the very core of the Mormon faith? I have been pondering why she is going in that direction. Now if I remember correctly Romney has come out for Hillary. So with that in mind, is it possible that a majority of Mormon voters are going to back Hillary because of Romney’s endorsement ?
As a Mormon woman I could not agree with her more. In fact, I called the paper this week and they asked me if I would like to write a guest op-ed for the paper. I am working on it and will submit it over the weekend. I will keep you all posted. And by the way, I have LOTS of Mormon friends, both male and female who will be voting Trump. As for my Mormon family, all of us are voting Trump, including my twenty year-old daughter who is voting in her first election and is a sophomore at BYU. GO TRUMP!!!
Thank you for posted this article. I have forwarded it to many people who will be influenced by the author’s analysis.
I would like a copy of your letter once it has been sent. I have many friends grappling with this same issue and your letter could be helpful. tia
The moral case for Trump includes the fact that she is one of the nastiest evil bitches in all of history.
