No, sentence them to live their lives on a remote island in the Aleutians with no utilities whatsoever. Let them walk the walk. Or die trying.
I want to dissuade others doing this. Most treehuggers want to keep living. Quick execution stops that. Plus I don’t want them to get lucky and cause a spill/disruption that hurts a lot of other people and nature too.

Sentence them to serve their time (a LONG time) in such a remote, primitive locale with no technology or modern energy sources. Let them try to “live off the land” in a politically correct way. Ofc few will live very long but that’s a feature not a bug!!
