Only to point this out....free toilets disappeared out of German train stations around a decade ago. You pay one Euro ($1.20) now for entry, and you get a 50-cent coupon back which you can only use at eateries within the train station itself, but you have to spend at least 4 Euro on this purchase, for the coupon to be any good.
So if you got no money...well, you can guess the toilet situation at train station. And the 50-cent coupon is mostly worthless unless you go for more than just a cup of coffee and a pastry.
