Caddell Post-Debate Analysis: Trump Won on ‘Leadership, Honesty, and Who Cares About People like Me’

While admitting that Donald Trump did “mediocre” and Hillary Clinton “had an edge” at Monday night’s presidential debate, Democratic pollster Pat Caddell told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow Tuesday, “What was interesting is Trump really helped himself.”

Caddell was referring to a detailed post-debate poll also featured by Breitbart News. “First of all, ninety-five percent of the people who watched the debate and we had pre-interviewed, of almost 900 interviews, said they didn’t change their minds. Of the small number of people who did, Trump ended up with a slight advantage among undecideds to him. But more importantly,” continued Caddell, “and this is what does matter long-term in debates, is how you deal with the challenges and impressions you have.”

Caddell said based on the polling, Trump “actually topped Hillary Clinton” on who was seen as plausible as president. “That was his great test,” said Caddell, “that he stand there and be seen most of all as plausible as president. He was preferred over her by four points.”(continued)

CNBC based all their news headlines on the first few vote of their poll, when hillary was winning by 10.

She was down 15 an hour later :)

wonder what they did with those stories!! :)

Newsweek headline today: “How Hillary Clinton is leveraging her debate triumph to keep the heat on Donald Trump.”

Keep dreaming.

More than Hillary vs. Trump, this is becoming a debate between the political aristocracy and the Americans tired of being lied to by this aristocracy that exempt themselves from the laws and ensnare the rest of us against our will.

The more Trump hammers that theme, the better his numbers will get. Hillary is the boilerplate socialist “we know what’s best for you” policy wonk.

Trump says there’s a better course out there and I can get you there.

As i said in another post, Trump won because he came across as genuine, but Hillary was scripted and fake.

I tuned in to 10 seconds of Wolf Blitzen and he says Hillary is off doing her victory lap.

I trust him too. I notice that FOX doesn’t have Caddell paired with Dopey Doug Schoen anymore when doing analysis. Bet there is a story there. Like Pat doesn’t want to be seen with that horse’s rear again, something like that. :-)

Her big thing today is saying Trump didn’t pay federal taxes a lot of years (speech in Raleigh).

“Like Milt did after his first debate?”

“[Milt]
noun
1.
the sperm-containing secretion of the testes of fishes.
2.
the testes and sperm ducts when filled with this secretion.”

The IRS shared his files with her campaign.

Many on FR have said the exact same thing, this was about Trump passing the ‘can he be President’ test, and he passed it.

The height of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect the results to change. Hillary is a prime example of continuing to do the same thing. The country does not want that, which is why Trump will win.

Most Americans have no problem with people not paying taxes, as long as they don’t advocate raising them on us!

Trump dominated. He interrupted to correct misinformation. He told the moderator to be quiet. He refused to answer certain innuendos. He was not some smooth, affable, subservient “presidential” mannequin. He was, overall, in charge, in command, strong, passionate and forthright. That is what people want in a president - a leader, not a smiling one-liner robot.
