We don’t have Free Trade. We have Managed Trade. It is managed to the US’s detriment. Read about the Bretton Wood system. The goal has never been Free Trade. The goal has been to use the strenght of the US Economy to “smooth out” disparties in the global economic system. That might of made sense during the Cold War, it is anachronistic now.

I cannot tolerate defeatism as an argument. We are the number ONE consumer in the WORLD. That gives us priority and power in any thinking man’s brain, but not in those who work day and night to reduce America to just another bump on the world map to be dictated to by the Globalists. YOU are a GLOBALIST and you would rather see the destruction of the United States than stand up for the greatest country the world has ever seen. You are an absolute lunatic if you think decades of trade deficits is better than no agreements at all. No business of ANY SIZE can continually lose money and stay in business. We have been robbed blind by every trade agreement we have. Time to tear them all up and start over from scratch. They want to trade in our market? There will be a PRICE TO PAY! We are NOT going to destroy ourselves to put food on the table everywhere in the world except the USA! Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it!

Trump still hasn't embraced the wisdom of free trade.

Hey I'mpimp for the Cheap Labor Express why don't you take your gloBULList crapola and sell it elsewhere.

For you anti tariff morons out there I have a question; if low tariffs cause off shoring of factories and massive unemployment why wouldn't protectionist tariffs do the opposite?

Screw you anti American globalists...

Worth repeating:

Modern “free traders” are not the conservatives they claim to be. Their loyalty is to the business world globally, not to a nation state called America. To them America is only a means to an end.

PS: "I'm a pimp" is an attention whore.

Military strength over all other rivals.

In a World War that stays conventional, we will have a good first punch. In a long war of attrition we will lose because our industry will have to be rebuilt at the same time we are fighting, i.e. the CSA 1861 to 1865. The CSA govt. was constantly torn between fighting the war and industrializing an agricultural/service economy. Well they proved you can't do both at the same time.

You do not understand what a capital account is and how it relates to trade deficits. Only those who have studied economics know the truth of what I am saying. A large percentage of people have taken university economics and a large percentage of those people will vote for Hillary because she is less wrong than Trump on this issue.

Trump will, however, continue to do well among anybody who has little economics education.

Make no mistake about it. I am a Trump supporter. This is the only issue I disagree with him on.

My dog woke me up early, so I wound up having coffee way earlier today. I’ll be dull again this afternoon.

You're a globalist religious zealot.

What the outstanding humongous trade deficit (US bucks held by foreigners) means is that an inflationary time bomb of biblical proportions is waiting on the horizon. This could be used as a tool tool to destroy the US economy.

When/if that happens then Jim Rob's Freep-a-thons will take days instead of weeks.

FREE TRADE??? You well know none of this Nafta/Gatt/TPP is FREE TRADE. It is government/corporate managed cheap labor agreements.

People have gotten wise to the misuse of the misleading ‘free trade’ propaganda.

TRUMP IS RIGHT.

Your continued use of the word “globalist” makes me shudder...End result in its final form, it means no nations, it means no borders!

GOPe are globalists, Uniparty are globalists, Obama is a globalist, Soros is a globalist, Clinton is a globalist...

Think about it!

A trade deficit may be maintained indefinitely.

Well get your head screwed on straight. You are a defeatist when you think we need to “take what we can get.” That has never been an American philosophy. We are the No. 1 consumer nation in the world. They need us more than we need them.
Secondly, you are an arrogant idiot if you think I know nothing about economics. You’d better get off that springboard before you take a dive in an empty pool. The “Theorists” who have nothing but programs and graphs to play with but have never dealt in International Trade have no “creds.” They are part...a large part...of the problem, exactly like the so called experts in “Global Warming” or is that Climate Change?

How am I a defeatist? You can call me arrogant. You can call me all kinds of things. But I believe that with foreign nations having easy access to our markets (even if they restrict our products) we will grow in economic and military might. The globalist trade push makes me more confidant in America’s future.

“But I believe that with foreign nations having easy access to our markets (even if they restrict our products) we will grow in economic and military might.”

We do NOT need all these zillions of pages of trade ‘agreements’ to do that! Foreign nations can buy what ever they want from the US...who is stopping them other than you and your beloved BS ‘free trade’ agreements?
