Some 7,000 armed police with heavy vehicles have surrounded and blocked the Incirlik air base in Adana used by NATO forces, already restricted in the aftermath of a failed coup. Unconfirmed reports say troops were sent to deal with a new coup attempt.

Hurriyet reported earlier that Adana police had been tipped off about a new coup attempt, and forces were immediately alerted. The entrance to the base was closed off.

Security forces armed with rifles and armored TOMA vehicles used by Turkish riot police could be seen at the site in photos taken by witnesses....

Is this where the Pentagon, bombed by al Qaeda,
under the Moslem Obama, gives them nukes to murder
Americans by the millions?

Was not the tech transfer to Iran and China enough?

Seems Turkey under islamists is not fit to be in NATO. The question is what will NATO do about it? Or, could this be 0bama starting another war to destabilize the middle east?

That link is related, but I don’t use FB so can’t check it out.

Lot’s of Russian sources on this story..we’ll see. Perilous for our military there, and our weapons .

I am sure that the nukes are rigged for destruction at this moment. I assume the local commander has authority to destroy them if he fears they will be compromised.

Erdogan organized an anti-American riot and then sent anti-riot troops to protect the AFB.

He is probing our defenses. Smart on his part, though he knows full-well that Obama is a pussy.

Given what he knows about Obama, Erdogan is most likely seeing if our generals are making the transition to post-Obama. Are they showing any independence?

After Trump is elected, Erdogan will extend an arm to probe our defenses...and pull back a stump.

When it comes to today’s Turkey, the question is :”Who’s ‘coup’ing whom?” It’s hard to tell if there are any good guys in this at all. I know Erdogen is not good for his people, but are they saying the same military that failed so miserably at taking over two weeks ago is trying it again?
Is that what they’re saying? If so, I hope it’s under different and more efficient leadership, otherwise, the civilians will beat the armed soldiers up again.

Thousands of Turkish protesters filled the streets outside the U.S. military base at Incirlik, Turkey, on Thursday, burning American flags and demanding that the government close the base.

As I understand it, these nukes are old and need to be armed with instructions from the U.S. That said, they still might be valuable as material for dirty bombs.

Erdogan and Obama are asshole buddies. They opened up a mosque together a few months back in prince George’s county.

Turkey is not Latvia; they don’t need NATO more than NATO needs them. They’re geographically important to NATO.

Several freepers have assured us there are no nukes, that they were moved out in the 80s, or the 90s, or maybe last week.

No worries, Hillery will take care of things, the muzzies love her like she is one of their own.

The protest on Thursday outside Incirlik Air Base, where demonstrators burned American flags, coincided with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erodgan’s lashing- out at Central Command’s Gen. Joseph Votel, whom he accused of siding with coup plotters.

“It’s not up to you to make that decision. Who are you? Know your place,” Erdogan said on national television Friday, a day after Votel said the coup attempt on July 15 and the jailing of Turkish military leaders could affect U.S. operations against the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq.

There may be something to these second coup rumors. Let’s hope so.

Given sufficient quantities of fissile material they could probably reverse engineer them or design their own. They would certainly make a mess. This is a no-shit situation. Turkey need to guarantee safe passage of those weapons out of country, NOW!

The Pentagon is vehemently rejecting remarks by the Turkish president that the U.S. military was siding with plotters of the failed military coup in Turkey.

“Any suggestion anyone in the department supported the coup in any way would be absurd,” Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook told reporters Friday.
