I have been posting excerpts from my weekly “Semi-News/Semi-Satire” column on FR since 2005. So, yes, I am “big” on it.
I do not support Black Lives Matter. While I believe they occasionally have a legitimate grievance in specific cases—perhaps in the incident featured in my satire—most of the cases they choose to agitate over appear to involve criminals being shot by police (ex: Michael Brown and Alton Sterling). Worse, some of the agitation seems designed to incite violence both against the police, innocent bystanders, and shopkeepers (ex: burning down buildings and assaulting non-Blacks in Ferguson, Missouri).
I re-read the semi-satire and still don’t get the point of your post - other than to be supportive of the BLM perspective. It paints police in an inept negative light, and gives credence to the BLM argument.
If you post semi-satire to post semi-satire because that’s what you are known to do, I guess that is your thing. Just like every other BLM scene, there is always more to the story - the truth.
