MacDonald pointed out that 12% of whites and hispanic homicides have been by police, but only 4% of black homicides (over 6,000 in the latest 2014 data) have been from police shootings.
(COMMENT: If blacks demand racial equality, they should demand the police shoot more blacks to achieve a racially equal percentage. Of course, a better plan of action is for blacks to stop killing each other at a rate far in excess of whites killing whites or hispanics killing hispanics.)
MacDonald also pointed out that a policeman is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black attacker than an unarmed black person being killed by a policeman.
And MacDonald also noted that the media has hyped up the lies spread by BlackLivesMatter (which she calles a terrorist group) and amplified by the media and other radical leftists, especially since Ferguson.

79 percent of all known nonfatal shooting suspects,
85 percent of all known robbery suspects, and
77 percent of all known murder suspects, according to police department data.
Whites were
1 percent of known nonfatal shootings suspects in 2014,
2.5 percent of known robbery suspects, and
5 percent of known murder suspects, the latter number composed disproportionately of domestic homicides.
Whites are nearly absent, in other words, among violent street criminals—precisely whom proactive policing aims to deter.
Whites are actually over-stopped compared with their involvement in street crime.

To those on the Left, the answer is easy: If young, black, inner-city males cannot adhere to civilized standards of conduct, simply lower those standards. This has been referred to as “defining deviancy down.” Once standards are lowered, problem solved. Since many on the Left lack the intellectual capacity to comprehend Heather MacDonald’s argument anyway, what’s the alternative?
