According to the statute involved intent ins not required, so Comey was playing fast and loose with that too.

James Comey was reputed to be a man of honor. I am convinced that he has either sold his soul, or had it extorted from him.

The FBI has always been corrupt. Check out the history of the Boston FBI & the Whitey Bulger case, or the case where they let several men serve life in prison even though they knew those individuals were innocent.

Comey used the explanation and analysis sections of his presentation to appear as if he was balanced. The conclusion reached was purely political and entirely divorced from his own facts and the law.
It was a CYA con job from start to finish.
He is a participant in their lie. Period. I don’t care if extorted or not. He’s a willing participant.
Really, Comey never needed to give Loretta Lynch such an easy pass, he could have simply summarized the facts and evidence, then passed the political hot potato on to the Atty General.
But no, Comey decided to try to erase all discussion of indictment, even though as we’ve quickly learned other people HAVE been prosecuted and convicted for similar (or much lesser) violations.
So why did Comey choose to take all the heat away from Loretta Lynch? She must be lovin’ the guy right now.
