Matt Palumbo reports suppose you had a neighbor who favored gun control.
If he really didnt believe that guns made us safer, he certainly wouldnt mind if you put a sign on your lawn stating my next door neighbor wants to ban guns. Their house is not armed. Out of respect for their opinions I promise not to use my guns to protect them.
Part of the thinks they might mind just a bit.
After Frank Schwagel, the owner of a Shell gas station in Minnesota was robbed twice in three months, he did just the opposite. Western Journalism reports:
Schwagel decided to do something unusual, according to WJON-TV. He put a sign on his gas stations front door last week offering discounts after 7 p.m. to police officers or anybody who shows him a conceal carry permit.
He said he was trying to bring it to peoples attention that theres been some robberies going on around town, Schwagel told WJON-TV. And these guys are coming in with guns and knives and threatening our employees. Its pretty disconcerting. I just figured anything I can do to draw attention to the problem.
Personally I think Schwagel should get a concealed carry permit himself, but this sign alone should be some-what of a deterrent.
Not only that, the sign has gotten a plethora of media attention, and went viral on Facebook. His sales have increased, more than covering the cost of the discounts.
And Im sure that criminals have gotten the memo. A busier store also makes a robbery less likely and he has been seeing many more customers at night (the time when most robberies occur).
It truly is a positive sign that the community responded this favorably. If Americans wanted gun control as much as liberals told us they do, we wouldve witnessed the opposite response, with the community boycotting the store.
Whenever liberals fail at passing some sort of gun control measure in congress, theyre quick to blame Republicans, lobbyists, or the NRA. They act as if those voting against gun control arent representing the interests of those who elected them, or as if the NRA doesnt represent the interests of literally millions of Americans.
Ive never understood why Democrats have singled out the NRA as a target in the gun control debate. The NRA has a higher approval rating than they do.
Maybe they should try scapegoating something a little less popular.
They are never going to be completely destroyed until they are completely destroyed.
They will never give up.
We are the ones who give up.
Remember the Star Bucks Flip Flops? First no guns allowed then the correction and welcome back followed by the preferred not but per local laws.
As I recall there were calls for boycott, support with groups meeting then.... It all coincided with their PR which would have done much better to just start where they ended and gone silent, which is exactly where they were before the whole thing went politics.
For these liberal businesses, if they aren’t willing to sacrifice business or announce their status as a soft target, don’t ask, don’t tell should be their cup of tea (or coffee).
They are domestic enemies. Just start thinking about them like ISIS. You will never give up then.
That is a valid comparison.
Those of us who intend to keep our Constitutional rights cannot coexist with these people. There is not room for us both.
Our “representatives” are not going to save us. It is just a matter of time before they throw us to the wolves as they always do.
It’s probably a fake quote. And even if it’s real, Freud said everybody sexual problems.
Speaking of Freud, it’s interesting how gun control advocates take joy in comparing guns to phallic symbols. Does this explain their obsession with GRABBING them?
“...absolutely sick to death of is the flaccid guns laws in place.”
A psychologist informed me that gun-grabbing is a cult, and as such, is immune to fact, intelligence, or common sense. He said that the idea of personal protection is alien to them since they believe The State is the only one that should be able to use force. Showing Liberals facts with which they disagree is like having a dog watch TV and then giving it a quiz on the content.
Freud would have said the same about garden hoses, had they existed in his day.

Apparently he did in the 10th Lecture of " A General Introduction to Psychoanalysis" (1916-17)
In these other passages Freud associates retarded sexual and emotional development not with gun ownership, but with fear and loathing of weapons.

And it fits with the *phallic symbols* of dream interpretation....."
So has Freud been rehabilitated? Last I heard, most of his theories and posits had been shown to be “a product of their time”, as the saying goes.
Not saying he wasn’t ever right, or that he might not be right about guns, but even accounting for the deep distortions that “modern” psychology has apparently been promoting, a lot of Freud’s work looks flawed.
And so fear of garden hoses, umbrellas, cigars, etc. would also count.
That’s the trouble with leaning on Freud. You get bounteous gobbledygook.
In the end, there is only going to be one way to deal with this.
A taunt this is;
Science it is not.
That is what bothers them the very, very most the thought of nobodies, just plain stupid citizens walking around with guns on their persons. They just cannot abide by that image and will never, never stop trying to get them away from us.
Sigmund Freud never said that. It’s been appropriated to him erroneously for many years now.
Freud did say, “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar”.
