I think a Sunni caliphate is an excellent idea, one we should support fully. Dissolution of the caliphate in 1922 has brought nothing but trouble.
I think the caliph should reside in Istanbul.
And I think two Trident submarines with the GPS coordinates for the Topkapi palace and the Grand Mosque at Mecca should be constantly on station in the Arabian Sea and the Eastern Atlantic.

The Saudi Bedouins were some of God's POOREST people on the planet for most of their existence. Their country was hottern Hades, 117 degrees in the summer with 95% humidity at the shores, where we were, and the sea is 95 degees, with brackish, warm well water, oases LOADED with mosquitoes, not malarial anymore, thanks to their DDT spraying. It gets to 146 degrees out in the open desert.
Then, petroleum and natural gas were found in HUGE amounts in the KSA, both on- and off-shore. Amazing. Now they are some of the WEALTHIEST people on earth. They DO all have work and they do. But their education and medical are all free. They DO have to live there though...punishment enough.

I think there are more than a few false and smiling teachers out there who sympathize with sin. Personally speaking, I can’t say for sure that our Lord would even recognize a single Western “church” today.
Modernism largely stole the identity of the Church, vandalized the Mass, buried the faith teachings of centuries, and generally killed off knowledge and wisdom to even live the Christian life. Imho.

It's an interesting study in just how the Mass has changed, not in its essence, a meal, but in the "bells and whistles."
Dogma/doctrine hasn't changed. Neither has sin. The big change, imho, is the Mass in English. HOWEVER, I have a missal that has the old LATIN on the left side of each page and the corresponding English on the right.
I STILL say "Agnus Dei" and "Dominus nos sum dignus..."
Too many years saying it and I don't want to give it up, so I don't. No one cares if I say those words out loud.
The readings are still the same, as are both books of the Bible. The "Protestant" version of the Bible has SOME differences in some of the books IN- and EXcluded. My Protestant friend and I exchanged that information one day.

The seven phases might be accurate enough but the total victory might be ours.
Not placing much faith in the military power of the “total confrontation” against what would have to be the combined power of NATO, Russia and possibly China.
Who exactly is going to be leading that attack and with what weaponry? A ramping up of the current terrorist attack schedule, while problematic, would at some point be recognized as a co-ordinated attack, what would follow would have to be identification of all sources of support for that. If it went even further, like declarations of war, I can’t see our side losing or even fighting on the ground. It would all be over in days with the infra-structure of the Islamic world in ruins.
First you let them manage it, then you nuke it. Wash, rinse and repeat as needed.
