I had a similar instance with the FBI around 1998. A local was money laundering for a $3 Billion insurance embezzlement scheme out of Greenwich, CT. His relatives were all involved as were many townspeople. Because of the Gorelick wall of separation, the CT FBI didn't tell the Mississippi FBI of the criminal activities. I called the local FBI office and read the newspapers from Toledo and Greenwich that specifically named the local man as recipient of the embezzled funds to which they were totally uninformed. Justice was minimal and the family benefited greatly financially from the result. Even Al Gore's presidential fund got several thousands of the money.

Osama dress, sandals, knit-cap, all he is missing is his camel.
At LENGTH he effusively extolled the merits of JIHAD on base to uniformed, high-level military officers --NO PROBLEM..!
Not until he actually OPENED FIRE did they get the message.
